Two years at DoorDash. I do not say this lightly.
We are extremely close to the burrito arriving before you decide you want it.
We are not asking for a ban. We are asking for a pause.
When it comes to *mass adoption*, personal AI assistants (Instinct / Muse, etc.) are solutions looking for a problem imo.
The vast majority of people in the world do not have a life sufficiently complex to warrant agentic orchestration.
If you want to take a FAT red pill, do jury duty.
Do what it takes to get selected so you can observe the process.
Your life will change forever. A “jury of your peers” will hit harder than a third world invasion.
If you’re smart enough to intentionally get through the jury selection process you will likely end up becoming the foreman of the group. Unless you lack aura and charisma.
Through the trial deliberations you will find yourself among the most impressionable and malleable people you’ve ever met. Usually decent people but NPCmaxxed with fluoride stares.
It’s staggering once you realize you could potentially steer the whole jury to a decision.
This is why it’s important for good and competent people to do jury duty and to use their powers (mildly above average IQ) wisely to effect justice in our retarded world.
research shows that anxiety is caused by your inability to tolerate uncertainty. in repsonse you unconsciously try to regain control through overthinking, overplanning, overchecking, and overdoing. these are all attempts to create a false sense of certainty. but that just signals to your brain "we're not safe. stay alert." the goal is to build your nervous system's capacity to feel safe in the unknown. this happens by thinking "i don't know what will happen, but i trust i'll be okay."

I have four passion projects for AZ that would make it a better place:
1) The Salt River should be a functional recreational reservoir in its footprint through the Phoenix Metro area. (This will help to have additional significant water infrastructure and a city length paddle boarding opportunity that people love)
2) Arizona’s sports district should run next to the River and all FOUR teams should have stadium projects ultimately there PLUS a tri-city convention center on the 101/202.
3) Arizona should have at least 6 more nuclear reactors.
4) Frank Lloyd Wright’s Oasis for a state Capitol complex should be built as he envisioned next to the beautiful Papago Buttes. It makes perfect sense for the Capitol complex to be next to ASU and closer to the airport and an iconic mountain in Phoenix.
