Jesus said a Jew could pay taxes even though Caesar would use that money to subjugate Israel (Matt 22). Conclusion: you aren’t responsible for what someone does with money after they take it from you by force.

@megbasham I recommend reading “the Law” by Bastiat (circa 1850). It’s like reading a Catholic John Piper, banging on about the glory of God.

You’ll quickly realize that if that’s what a libertarian is, you want to be on that team.

@rje4242 @loribolo @dvdsgl I dislike tiling WMs in general. I tried hard to like tiling, I wanted the nerd street-cred.

But tiling only allows a subset of the layouts you can get with floating windows (especially if you still have window snapping). Plus floating is more intuitive for newbies.

In fairness, hyprland is the coolest tiling wm. I’ve tried i3 for a while before too. But I just can’t get excited about it.

Floating windows are more intuitive and more flexible. I think normies will always prefer them.
