Carrie Prejean was not canceled for being Catholic.

It was clarified to her multiple times at the hearing that she was not being asked to affirm that Israel is the fulfillment of prophecy. She was being asked to affirm Israel's right to exist as a state, and the Catholic Church herself already recognizes Israel as a legitimate state. She is a grifter who is abusing our faith for notoriety. Either that or she has a maximum 65 IQ for not being able to understand this distinction. Giving her an award for making a mockery of our faith is an embarrassment.

If you actually care about Palestinian Christians, go donate to the Latin Patriarchate or cover actual abuses by Israelis such as settler violence in the West Bank. You can follow @KhalilJeries or @IhabHassane for example, two Palestinian Christians who do good work exposing abuses against Palestinian Christians from both Muslim and Jewish extremists. Also support the evangelization of Palestinian Muslims to help save their souls by supporting ministries such as @tavnet_ which do Catholic evangelism in the Islamic world.

Our goal as Catholics should be to truly proclaim the kingship of Christ to the whole world. This means going and making disciples of all nations to spread the kingdom of Christ. If you want to know what the message of Jesus's kingdom is, go read today's gospel. I am tired of political grifters, whatever their political agenda be, hijacking the true religion to change the heavenly message of the gospel into their earthly political agenda.
