Breaking on @MSNBC: Liz Cheney, in the closed-door Republican caucus meeting, said that she absolutely will not apologize for her impeachment vote or her statement about Donald Trump's role in inciting the insurrection.
If you are a Republican member of Congress who is angrier (or, more likely, pretending to be angrier) with Liz Cheney than you are with Donald Trump after the last week, you are broken.
He was one of the three founding trustees of the Heritage Foundation. He was national chairman of the American Conservative Union. He was in the House Republican leadership. And now he has left the GOP. Fascinating. https://t.co/YZGodtoLPW
I can confirm this.
I spoke with a GOP member moments ago, asking if it is true that there are House Republicans who favor impeachment but fear for their lives/physical safety if they follow through with that vote.
Answer: “Yes.”
The next person I see talk about the political implications of impeachment might cause me to stroke out.
He attempted a coup. He pressured @GaSecofState to find votes. He pressured VP to interfere with transfer of power. He incited a mob. 5 are dead.

I don't know how a single Republican watching this spectacle and its implicit threat to do to the Republic what the Founders feared most hasn't doubled over with crippling shame by this point.
I think it’s bizarre that the Never Trump groups who did everything they could to help elect Biden and are asking for nothing in return get dogged while the Justice Dems who actively peed in Biden’s Cheerios during the campaign think they can dictate the cabinet.
