@ManishEarth I think this is common for a lot of diaspora. Since moving to a west coast city for a tech job almost 10 years I’ve run across a lot of this kind of sentiment and yeah, it is sus the way you mention. Extra weird buying property in a gentrifying majority Asian neighborhood too
