In case you missed the new release from last week...Lehman Butte stills are here!
From the drill rig high in the Idaho mountains to our crew inspecting fresh core samples, this is Phase I drilling in action at our district-scale low-sulfidation epithermal Au-Ag project.Partnering with Centerra Gold to unlock what’s beneath these stunning peaks.

@marketplunger1@TheTungstenGuy@Mithril_Mining Love it — awesome story. Just an FYI you can use trees in Idaho if larger than 4 inch diameter to stake federal claims, instead of the heavy 4x4s!
If you make it to north Idaho we're based here and happy to help with anything on the exploration side. @scoutdisco
Here’s an important story in the Washington Post, with a link below, about how the United States forgot how to mine anything and what it is costing our nation today. If America wants to reduce its dependence on imports from the rest of the world to rebuild its industrial base, speeding up permitting and investing in the sector is not enough. We need to move fast to rebuild a greatly diminished pool of trained American mining engineers and we need to do it fast and at the scale of the American economy.
U.S. mining schools collectively graduated about 300 mining engineers last year, according to the Foreign Policy article by @Christinalu on the @washingtonpost Post’s Ripple platform. (300!) China, by contrast, is home to about 45 mining engineering programs and churns out about 3,000 graduates every year, according to 2024 estimates.
@MBazilian leads the @payneinstitute at @coschoolofmines where my son @govind_ivanhoe studied Geology & Geological Engineering and my brother Eric Friedland studied Geophysics. I’m regular speaker at the Payne Institute and urge everyone to direct their attention to this thought leading institution.

"There's a risk that you believe it's going to go up forever, and it never does", Dr. Neil Adshead told me.
What else should you look out for?
"There's going to be a lot of junior with crazy valuations. If you're an unsophisticated investor, you'll be relying on somebody else's advice, and that advice might no be in your best interest", he added.
At @AEMA this past December, @Curtis Johnson walked through the vision behind Scout’s Speed Goat Project.

Scout Discoveries: Cuddy Mountain Drill Program Update
Our Phase I drilling is officially underway at Cuddy Mountain. Early progress is strong, and momentum is building:
✅ First drilling in four decades now advancing with permits secured through fall 2026.
✅ Three holes drilled at the Climax zone, targeting a newly recognized porphyry center; assays pending.
✅ Expansion ahead: drilling will move to the IXL and Railroad targets next, with the ability to scale up using Scout’s internal fleet of five core rigs.
✅ Efficient, in‑house drilling allows us to advance exploration rapidly while maximizing shareholder capital.

Scout Technical Advisor Federico Cernuschi giving his porphyry systems short course for the Scout geology team to refine technical skills for ongoing drilling at the Cuddy Mountain and Speed Goat porphyry projects in 2026.
Anyone interested can catch the same short course at PDAC this year:

At Scout Discoveries, exploration isn’t just what we do...it’s who we are.
It’s our commitment to the highest standards.
It’s our relentless pursuit of technical excellence.
From geologists in the field,
to drill crews on site,
to scientists in the lab
we’re united by one mission:
to reinvent mineral discovery, one step, one rock, one drill rig at a time.

It’s amazing when your job doesn’t feel like "work". We love it...we crush it, we dig it. Grateful for great people in a great industry. ⛏️💛 #Mining#Geology#Exploration#Teamwork
From the field to the lab, the Scout team is driving discovery every step of the way:
✅ Soil Sampling – Collecting critical data from the surface.
✅ Drilling – Unlocking insights from deep below.
✅ Sample/Core Analysis – Reviewing collected samples and drill core to interpret geology and potential.
Every sample brings us closer to understanding the potential of tomorrow.

Progress you can measure—one sample at a time.
Our field team wrapped up systematic soil sampling this week to sharpen geochemical targets and guide next steps. Precision matters—from station layout to chain-of-custody bags. #Exploration#Geology#Fieldwork
