@EnglishHeritage your membership login/setup is completely broken this evening. Heads-up that’s down to @Microsoft@Azure b2c issues. I think the error code in the browser console (not visible to average user) means English Heritage has an expired or invalid client cert.
@HMRCpressoffice I’ve just worked out that the Pre-2010 Mis-sold loan schemes will cost 250% more to settle than those Post-2010. Why are you not offering the same terms to both groups of victims? Morse said before 2010 the law was not clear. Please explain.
@australian He was once a happy and charming CEO. Now he can’t saying anything without clearly reading a script. Nothing says you’re deeply sorry more than reading the words “I’m deeply sorry”, dead-eyed, from the comfort of one of your mansions.
@emily4MK Thanks @emily4MK - are you aware that there’re 1000s of people who were in the same schemes pre 2010 that don’t qualify for this settlement, purely because the previous Morse review removed the loan charge from them. Perversely that now penalises us.
I haven't posted in a long time re #LoanCharge but I've just seen a copy of letters going out. Asking ppl who've already paid and who have supplied all scheme details etc in 2019 to share all over again like they've never engaged with @HMRCgovuk . Another shambles in the making..
@EE Sorry to be a bother, but the is definitely not working. It rings, then it gives a message about being committed to providing good service. Only then does a second automated message say the office is closed. I got through to mobile department, and they said bb dept. closed today.
@EE What options do I select to respond to this? OpenReach are meant to be here in the morning, so it’s not like I can wait until then to talk to EE. I received this text from EE at 09:43 today.
An extraordinary thing.
Morse removed pre-DR loans from #loancharge & pardoned only those who hadn't disclosed (no open enquiry).
McCann now helps only those still within the #loancharge but who didn't settle!
Those with pre-DR open enquiry now slip between the two!
Shambles.
@EE - excited FTTP available, but initial experience not great. Your app says tomorrow 8am, but OpenReach haven’t done outside. All I ask is your app keeps the situation up to date, do I can plan. Your rep today didn’t seem keep to chase OR.
@DanNeidle It seems unfair to me the review doesn’t cover pre-2010 cases, when after the first review the loan charge was simply disapplied. This leaves it as a vanilla open year. I also can’t believe how long HMRC can leave it open for 20 years, adding interest, before issuing closure.
