This time, the image below presents a variety of projects and experiments grounded in substantially more fundamental principles compared to the numerous meme tokens like $rats, $mice, $sqts, $farm, etc. Their upside is more in the long term, and the downside is not as obvious as in these one-day animal tokens.

@trac_btc with $TRAC token: The frontrunner of current ordinals-related development. Building by @rarity_garden building decentralized indexing and tracking of all Ordinals metaprotocols(and not only on #Bitcoin )

@tap_protocol: Metaprotocol, built by @trac_btc and Benny, enables so-called OrdFi. Actually, we can see DeFi-like mechanics on Bitcoin. Extremely bullish🔥🧯

@GhostyCash with $GHSY: A great working product with a clear use case, providing fast and private transactions between EVM chains, non-EVM, and Bitcoin. They are building on @tap_protocol

@traverse_io with $TRVS: Maybe they are a bit early, but definitely keep an eye on these guys. Security solutions with special recoverable vaults are never redundant.

@darkcity_x with $DRK: Very original MMORPG on Bitcoin. No idea how this Bitcoin-based game mechanics will play out due to many limitations, but we saw the Ethereum GameFi mania back in 2021 so why not be the same during Ordinals mania?

And one more curious experiment #CBRC20 built by @CyBORg_BTC. They created a new metaprotocol standard reducing the inscription cost and simplifying indexing. Has much less overall Mcap compared to #BRC-20 tokens, and better tech -> you see the upside if #Ordinals are not dead".

Liquid Restaking - The Biggest Narrative and Risk of 2024.

While Ordinals will be a major topic for the BTC ecosystem in 2024, Liquid Restaking Finance, made possible by @eigencloud, will be the focus of the ETH network.

In a nutshell, users can get an additional liquid form of ETH on top of Liquid Staking tokens - $stETH, $rETH - which can be used in DeFi protocols while earning double yield from ETH staking and rewards from restaking Apps also known as Actively Validated Services (AVS).

Some key projects in this area @KelpDAO, @ether_fi, @swellnetworkio, @renzoai, @Genesis_LRT, @restakefi, @puffer_finance, @InceptionLRT, @RioRestaking, @agilely_io.

Why is this also a risk?

Essentially, Liquid Restaking Tokens (LRTs) compound leverage upon leverage like it was during the early stages of DeFi, thereby increasing the system's susceptibility to market volatility.

We will likely also see apps/services, that actually don't need access to the Ethereum consensus layer and such security, but these projects will enter the market capitalizing on the current trend.

Adding to all this a large number of governance tokens that will be released, trying to replicate the success of @LidoFinance and @Rocket_Pool, we are likely to see a moment of collapse, simply because of the 'overuse' of the whole system.

However, at the end of the day, the potential opportunities far outweigh the risks. 🪙

The most important metric that 100% demonstrates the current hype is the amount of fees in the #Bitcoin network spent on Ordinals relative to the total fees in the network.

The infographic below speaks for itself. Almost 40% of total fees came from Ordinals lately😱

Almost 6 months after launching the #BRC-20 experiment, market demand has skyrocketed again. Over the past few weeks, miners have earned more on transaction fees related to inscriptions than on producing blocks.💰💰

Let's also examine the fundamental metrics defining the current state of the BRC-20 market.

Amid the recent surge in the Market Cap of $ordi, $sats, coupled with the strong performance of promising $trac, $ghsy (still early), the 6.5B$ MCap mark is a figure that the cryptocurrency market ought to take into account.

A negative aspect is the excessive creation of tokens. Therefore, it`s not a good idea to mint everything in a row, hoping for multiple profits, as has been the case in recent weeks.

📈With the recent surge in fees across various chains due to Ordinals and Inscriptions hype, it's worth looking at the earnings generated by some of the top L2 rollups in November.

@arbitrum continues to assert its leadership position(+1,5M$), while @zksync is steadily gaining momentum(+1,17M$).

The bottom line is pretty clear: all rollups including smaller ones like @BuildOnBase, @ourZORA, and others will continue to be profitable onchain regardless of their costs as this is embedded in their fee design.
