I don't even know what to write about this one.

What am I supposed to say? "Hey everybody, they're lying to us about this war"? Everyone already knows that. Even the people who support this war know all the justifications for it are lies.

They know Iran isn't building nukes.

They know Iran poses no threat to the United States.

They know all that bullshit about Iran cutting out women's wombs and murdering tens of thousands of protesters was evidence-free atrocity propaganda.

Nobody needs me to tell them these things. Nobody needs me to tell them that this war is going to kill a whole lot of innocent people and inflict unfathomable amounts of suffering upon our species, both directly during these attacks and indirectly in the chaos and instability ensuing thereafter. Everyone already knows this.

Everyone already knows this, and it's happening anyway. They're just doing whatever evil things they want to do, without the slightest regard for public opinion or consent.

They're just going right ahead with a military operation to topple Tehran, after decades of inertia for fear of the horrific consequences it would unleash.

They're just choking off Cuba using siege warfare, which previous presidents refused to do because it would be a monstrous act of war.

They just kidnapped the president of a sovereign nation, which previous administrations had refused to do because it's plainly against international law.

They just helped Israel turn Gaza into a gravel parking lot and are now building a giant dystopian tech surveillance encampment to imprison the survivors.

They just designated an American company a "supply chain risk to national security" for the first time ever because the AI firm Anthropic refused to let the Pentagon use its technology to operate autonomous killing machines and surveil American citizens — an open admission that the Pentagon plans on using AI to run autonomous killing machines and surveil American citizens.

There's an old Frank Zappa quote that's been popping into my head more and more lately:

"The illusion of freedom will continue as long as it's profitable to continue the illusion. At the point where the illusion becomes too expensive to maintain, they will just take down the scenery, they will pull back the curtains, they will move the tables and chairs out of the way and you will see the brick wall at the back of the theater."

We're seeing a lot more bricks lately.

MARCO RUBIO CALLS FOR RETURN OF COLONIALISM

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio gave one of the most overtly colonial speeches at the Munich Security Conference in Germany on Saturday, 14th February, where he reminisced about 500 years of Western colonialism and how it expanded to "settle new continents, build vast empires extending out across the globe.”

Rubio’s nostalgic hymn to “five centuries” of Western imperialism erases who paid the price: indigenous peoples annihilated, Africans enslaved, and colonised societies gutted so Europe and the U.S. could accumulate wealth. The “missionaries, pilgrims, soldiers, explorers” he romanticises were also agents of land theft, forced conversion, and mass killings. Treating that era as a civilizational achievement rather than the apex of organised human suffering reveals the worldview animating the new Trump administration: domination dressed up as destiny.

Today, this same logic plays out on the empire’s frontiers. The genocides in Gaza, eastern Congo, and Sudan show how expendable entire populations become once they are consigned to the periphery of a crumbling imperial order. As core states scramble to maintain hegemony, those on the margins are left to starve, be bombed, or be massacred.

Rubio, whom critics derisively call “Narco Rubio” over disputed allegations about Miami drug networks, epitomises this hypocrisy. While the CIA, at the behest of US presidents, has long been enabling or weaponizing drug trafficking through right‑wing militias in Latin America, Rubio orchestrated the kidnapping of Venezuela’s sitting president under the banner of “narco‑terrorism.” Simultaneously, he champions ever harsher measures on Cuba that function as a merciless blockade, squeezing hospitals, schools, and food supplies in a country already under siege. This is not “democracy promotion”; it is a crime against humanity.

Rubio’s invitation to Europe to “walk together again” is thus chilling. It signals a project of rebooted colonialism—run by the Trump, billionaire, intelligence, and Epstein elite—that risks accelerating global conflict.

The smear by then–US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on September 13, 2024, labelling African Stream “Kremlin propagandists”—triggered a wave of censorship. Within days, YouTube, Meta, Google, and TikTok removed our accounts, and we were demonetised on X. These actions shattered our ability to survive financially. Personal accounts were restricted. What followed was a daily uphill battle. Now, we’re left with only one path: closure.

We are deeply grateful for your unwavering support. Your comments, your messages, your shares—you made us stronger, sharper, and more determined.

We are deeply proud of the work we’ve done since 2022: bringing attention to the most underreported and misrepresented continent. The imperalists want to perpetuate the dominant narrative that Africa is underdeveloped due to corruption and the mismanagement of resources. They want to remove colonialism, neo-colonialism and imperialism from the picture. We refused to play by those rules. For that, we paid the price. But it’s a price we would pay again and again.

Refusing to play by their rules led to NBC saying we spread ‘disinformation’ without providing a single example of what ‘disinformation’ we shared. Voice of America condemned us for reporting a fact: since the George W. Bush administration, every US president has authorised drone strikes on Somalia. As we responded to every smear piece, we just grew bigger and stronger until, finally, those in positions of power realised the smears weren’t working, and the rest is history.

We will cease posting as of July 1, 2025, except for a few remaining documentaries from Liberia and Mali.

On this day, 84 years ago, Ethiopian emperor Haile Selassie arrived in Addis Ababa from exile, marking the end of a five-year occupation and Benito Mussolini's dream of colonial expansion. 5 May is now celebrated as Patriots' Victory Day, an enduring reminder of Ethiopia's history as the only African nation that successfully resisted colonisation despite fighting an overwhelming enemy with limited resources.

The Second Italo-Ethiopian War (1935-1937) saw thousands of Africans worldwide mobilise to fight the colonialists; this event reminded observers of what we witnessed in recent weeks by the support the global African community has shown Burkina Faso. Driven by indignation at US AFRICOM General Michael Langley's attack on the country's revolutionary president Ibrahim Traoré, tens of thousands have mobilised in protest with the clarion call, 'Hands off Burkina Faso!'

Having witnessed the West's destruction of Gaddafi's Libya after years of demonisation in the West and the murders of Patrice Lumumba and Thomas Sankara before that, Africans are saying 'enough is enough' - much like they did against Italy as Rome tried to take Ethiopia.
