@celinegounder Those numbers should not surprise. Those vaccine do not prevent infection,as they are delivered intramuscularly and thus you don't get a good mucosal immune response (what you need to prevent infection). They limit serious disease and death, and indeed they are doing it pretty well
@aaronmring That's because you know biology and understand clinical trials. But if someone don't understand clinical trial data, their choice to vax is not based on data. This time we are lucky that their choice align with ours. But what if next time does not?
Post-doc Kyung Ku Jang & team @DrJordanAxelrad@dallarsimo @kstaplef show that organoids can be a powerful platform to investigate interindividual differences in SARS-CoV-2 susceptibility, online now! 👉 https://t.co/eyW0FMWCV0

What an honor! @micro_lifter and @baldridge_lab wrote a fantastic preview piece of our study. Great summary and a lot of good points for future studies! #LoveVirology
Enteric viruses seize their immunomodulatory niche: @micro_lifter@baldridge_lab discuss work by @dallarsimo@CadwellLab examining immunomodulatory properties of enteric #viruses, revealing general viral #immune responses & unique, virus-specific responses https://t.co/TkVsvmWjcG

Immune responses to #enteric#virome: @dallarsimo@CadwellLab define host responses to panel of eukaryotic enteric #viruses. Many infections are asymptomatic &induce durable immune responses w/both commonalities & differences compared to bacterial exposure https://t.co/HpBR56CVKP
Time for some self-promotion! If you are interested in how the host responds to an array of viral infections, check the last paper in @cellhostmicrobe from the @CadwellLab. A big thanks to all the people who helped with this work. #LoveVirology https://t.co/fWoaQA1v6J
