@JoelWWood Also damages are convex, implying the more others pollute the higher the marginal damages of an additional tonne. Meaning we should do more reductions not less.

@cblatts Damn. I’ve had similar injury, sorry! 2 months is speedy, wishing my best. Start rehab early. PTs working with athletes / sport injuries are better at rehab for returning to activity, IMO.
@carly_urban@DrBritWilliams I regret not doing this 👆sooner! Having fun used to be a reward for when I felt satisfied with my work. But research is not like a race with finish line and cheering crowds, it's more like a treadmill and it's important to let yourself step off.
@JuraWho I agree. You could experiment and sit down while lecturing? After 8+ years I still have adrenaline, but it's usually only at start of lectures before my mind is fully occupied by the topic. My garmin measures stress as function of HRV (lower=+stress), not sure it's reliable

This is the fruition of long-term investments and talented people starting careers in the province decades ago. These investments are currently being reversed, and we will see the effects years from now. #ableg#abpse#ualberta
The U of A has landed in the world's top 100 for the first time ever in the @ShanghaiRanking#ARWU, placing 92nd in the world and fifth in Canada. #UAlberta https://t.co/exyd3t2PZ3
The UCP used taxpayer $ to study min wages, realized the study wouldn't help politically, and buried it. This is a misuse of public funds, but harm goes further. Censorship undermines trust in what experts communicate to the public and discourages experts from offering research.
Some personal news, as they say. As of July 1, I was promoted to Professor in the Alberta School of Business at @ualberta. And, on August 1, after 16 years @UAlbertaBiz, I'll be moving to a joint appointment in the Department of Economics and the Faculty of Law at @ualberta. 1/5
