I officially graduated. 1 year late but better late than never.
It was the perfect day to represent @theRCN and the current campaign #FairPayforNursing & #safestaffingsaveslives.
I am proud to be a nurse.
But what else do we all need to prove to be paid fairly?
@UoP_Nursing
Nurses and doctors going on strike is not a sole risk to patient care.
Why are we not addressing that fact of the lack of nurses to provide safe and effective care; therefore risking the lives of patients and the nursing staff!

How has it been 1 year today since @EDPht, hosted a graduation for us as COVID messed with our official graduation.
Nearly 2 years qualified, time honestly does fly when your having fun… in addition to fighting a global pandemic🦠 #TeamED
When trying to master new task, we pass through several stages, initially being unaware of skill required
Eventually things can become automatic & performed without thinking - that's when situational awareness can be lost
Staying consciously competent can improve patient safety
If nurses started talking about what is really going on in hospitals right now, shit would have to be shut down or taken over or something. I can’t even begin to detail all that is wrong just with my assignment today. This has long been unsustainable but now it’s tipping point.
@MundellAdam@EDPht What a great interview.
You are fab role model to all, especially to show that you can have fun even throughout the never ending pressure.
Also, cheers for cleaning my gleggs yesterday 😂
1 week later, UK Government offer a 3% raise in nursing pay.
This is insulting.
Paying nursing staff an unfair wage is absolutely disgraceful and no surprise why the retention is fading rapidly.
It’s time to fight for what we deserve!

The pay award for NHS staff is expected soon. It's important you know how it is decided so that together we can continue the fight for fair pay. Watch below and share the knowledge by tagging your NHS colleagues 💬
