No more silence. No more fear. No more propaganda. Eritreans are rising with courage and determination.
The time for change is now, and the world must pay attention.
A free Eritrea is not a dream—it is a goal we are working toward every day.

Regime change is not a threat it is a necessity when a nation is denied justice and freedom. Under dictatorship the voices of the people are silenced, their rights restricted and their future held back.
Justice cannot exist where power is unchecked and dignity cannot thrive where fear governs daily life.
Eritrea deserves better than stagnation it deserves progress, opportunity & the freedom for its people to shape their own destiny.
True change is not something to fear it is something to embrace because it carries the promise of a fairer and more just society.
Eritrea must move forward, not remain trapped in the past. The path ahead is clear, toward justice, toward freedom & toward a future built by its own people.

The diaspora is waking up.
For years, narratives went unchallenged. Questions were silenced. Truth was buried under repetition. But that is changing fast.
Today more people are asking questions, seeking facts and listening to voices that were once ignored. Information is no longer controlled the way it used to be. Awareness is spreading across borders, across generations and with awareness comes power.
The diaspora is no longer passive. It is thinking, connecting, and speaking out. Conversations are happening everywhere online in communities among families.
This isn’t just about rejecting propaganda. It’s about embracing truth, accountability & clarity.
Change doesn’t happen overnight. But it begins with awareness. And awareness is growing stronger every day.
The more we learn the harder it becomes to stay silent.

The fight for Eritrea’s freedom is about more than just politics, it is a deeply human rights struggle. It is about the mother who wants her son come from identify national service, it is about the student who wants to study without fear. It is about the fundamental right to live with dignity. Every voice raised in protest brings us one step closer to freedom. We will not rest until the sun rises on a free and democratic Eritrea.

Justice for Eritreans is not limited by geography. Whether at home or abroad, every Eritrean deserves dignity, safety, and freedom from fear.
Transnational repression is a violation that must be challenged globally.
Accountability must reach beyond borders.

8951 days.
24.5 years.
That’s how long a Swedish citizen has been imprisoned without justice. Without trial. Without a voice.
Dawit Isaak is not just a number — he is a father, a journalist, a human being who believed in freedom.
How much longer must silence continue?
How much longer will promises remain empty?
The world is watching. Sweden must act.

I fully agree with @TiborPNagyJr@NhameduBrg3298 ‘s position. It is remarkable that parts of the Eritrean diaspora express support for Isaias Afewerki's regime, despite its well-documented and serious human rights violations.Regime change in Eritrea. #BlueRevolution#EBRF
The regime is trying to act like everything is fine by sending people to the big scripted meeting. They’re calling it ''Strategic Partnership'' but it’s all for show. Everyone knows the regime is falling apart and these staged appearances are just a last ditch effort to stay in power. #BlueRevolution #TransnationalRepression #RegimeChangeInEritrea

@TiborPNagyJr absolutely right. It’s easy to praise a system from the comfort of the West, but reality on the ground tells a very different story. If Eritrea were truly the “paradise” some claim, people wouldn’t be risking everything to leave it. Supporting a regime from afar while enjoying freedoms denied to those back home isn’t just inconsistent it’s deeply unfair. Real solidarity means standing with the people, not defending the conditions they’re trying to escape.

Silence and denial only strengthen oppression. While some praise from afar, millions of Eritreans continue to live without basic freedoms, without a voice, and without a future they can shape. This is not about politics it’s about human dignity. Eritreans deserve freedom, justice, and the right to live without fear. The world should stand with the people, not with repression.

Agree 100% @TiborPNagyJr. It’s impossible to ignore the deep contradiction—openly praising Isaias Afwerki while choosing to live in democratic societies that guarantee the very freedoms denied back home in Eritrea.
This isn’t just hypocrisy—it’s part of a broader system of silence and control. The regime doesn’t only repress its people inside Eritrea; it extends its reach globally through transnational repression—intimidating, monitoring, and attempting to silence Eritreans in the diaspora who dare to speak out. Meanwhile, some abroad amplify propaganda while enjoying free speech on platforms like X—a freedom Eritreans inside the country don’t even have.
That’s exactly why the #BlueRevolution matters. It represents a growing movement of Eritreans—both inside and outside the country—who are rejecting fear, rejecting dictatorship, and demanding accountability, justice, and basic human rights. It’s about breaking the cycle of intimidation and exposing the truth, no matter where it comes from.
You can’t celebrate oppression from a distance while benefiting from freedom up close. The Eritrean people deserve better—and the world is starting to see through the contradictions.

States that genuinely invest in sports and athletics are, in reality, investing in the future of their youth and, by extension, in the long-term project of nation-building. Sports are not merely recreational activities; they are platforms for discipline, identity, unity, and international representation. When properly supported, they empower young people, nurture talent, and create opportunities that benefit both individuals and the nation as a whole.
In contrast, the PFDJ regime has consistently undermined these very principles. Instead of fostering an environment where young people can grow, excel, and pursue their ambitions, it has worked tirelessly to demoralize and suppress Eritrean youth. Aspiring athletes have seen their dreams crushed, not because of a lack of talent or determination, but because of systemic repression. Many young Eritreans are forced to spend their most productive years not in training grounds or classrooms, but in trenches, military camps, or prisons, as part of a broader system that prioritizes control over development.
The regime does not cultivate talent—it exploits it. Those Eritreans who have managed to achieve recognition, whether from within the country under extremely difficult conditions or from the diaspora, have often succeeded despite the system, not because of it. Athletes like Biniam Girmay, for example, have had to navigate and overcome a deeply unconducive environment to reach the international stage. Yet, once they achieve success, the same system that failed to support them attempts to claim their accomplishments for its own image.
As for members of the diaspora who choose to join the national team, it is undoubtedly their right to do so. However, the very concept of individual rights—especially the freedom to choose—is not something that is meaningfully recognized or practiced within Eritrea itself. While participation in the national team may be framed as patriotism, it is also important to acknowledge that, for many, this is not their first or only choice. In some cases, joining the national team may serve as a strategic move to enhance their careers, gain visibility, or build their professional profiles.
Ultimately, the situation reflects a broader contradiction: a state that publicly celebrates national pride and athletic success, while systematically dismantling the very foundations needed for youth development, freedom, and genuine achievement.

@MichaelK2984@daniel5_df#LampedusaTragedy occurred over a decade ago. So many Eritrean lives lost at sea prior & continues today in efforts to flee from #Eritrea due to persecution, forced conscriptions, & repression of press/religion/assembly; hoping to reach Europe for refuge, protection, & freedom.
We came to Unite State of America to live a better life and we are living, but we could not live in #Eritrea because of the regime of Eritrea. However, his supporters came here and threatening us. I don’t even understand how unite States allow terror supporters to live in USA.
The totalitarian regime of #Eritrea is expanding its repression beyond its borders, targeting diaspora Eritreans who are peacefully demanding justice, rights, and accountability through the growing #BlueRevolution movement. What began as a symbol of unity and resistance has now been met with harassment, intimidation, and politically motivated lawsuits against 13 named and 150 unnamed activists.
This is not justice—it is a calculated act of #TransnationalRepression. By weaponizing foreign legal systems, the regime aims to financially exhaust #BlueRevolution voices, silence dissent, and crush a movement built on peaceful resistance and truth.
But the #BlueRevolution stands firm—resilient, united, and unafraid. Eritreans everywhere continue to rise against fear and oppression, refusing to be silenced.
We call on global leaders—including Joe Biden, Donald Trump, Antony Blinken, Brad Sherman, Jeff Merkley, and Dick Durbin—to stand against these abuses and protect the fundamental rights of peaceful activists.
Eritreans deserve freedom, not fear.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has warned that transnational repression threatens individuals in the U.S. who speak out against foreign governments. This includes surveillance, intimidation, and coercion targeting diaspora communities.
Internationally, protections are clear:
The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (Articles 9 & 19) affirms freedom from arbitrary detention and the right to freedom of expression.
The International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, to which the U.S. is a party, reinforces these protections.
People who fled repression—including indefinite conscription and imprisonment—are protected here. Targeting them for exercising lawful speech is not advocacy; it raises legal and human rights concerns.
No one should feel unsafe for speaking about justice. Not here. Not anywhere.

Looking at this picture, I had a flashback to the darkest days of Eritrean refugees in 2013. Families and the whole world witnessed the deaths of Eritrean men, women, and children who perished in the Mediterranean Sea off Lampedusa, Italy.
In the picture 👇🏿, at the far left, the young man is Merhawi (Wedi Haleka). His little brother Samuel was one of the young men who died in Lampedusa. Samuel was a high school student who didn’t want to be conscripted into unending military service. He helped his father in their small bicycle repair shop in central Asmara, Aba Shawl. But the years he was allowed to live as a normal human being—going to school and working freely—were short. After high school, at age 17–18, everyone had to leave their families and begin unending military servitude, starting with one year of extensive training. Anyone who didn’t comply was hunted down and sent to worse training camps for shorter, harsher integration to quickly replenish the ranks of the Eritrean Army—a culture everyone knew.
I knew Samuel through a friend from church. We tried to cross the border and flee Eritrea, but I was caught and imprisoned while he escaped and returned home. Less than three months after I paid an official to bail me out, I saw Samuel’s picture on a poster while passing through Harnet Avenue. It said he had drowned in a boat accident in the Mediterranean Sea, on a street wall beside Helen Kebede and her three beautiful children—a family that suffered a similar fate. I was shocked and saddened, and I visited their home in Hazhaz, Asmara. The family was devastated, especially his father, who had lost his right hand. It was hard to witness.
My point is that Samuel’s brother is now promoting the regime that cost him his brother. This is not unique to him—many government supporters have lost the most because of the totalitarian nature of the regime, yet they support and serve it anyway. I am lost for words.
