They say they're *distractionless* and this never felt right to me.

Using them, I constantly needed to switch between the editor and the preview (or waste w/ split view), and I felt they are... *distractionful*

@vladquant @kepano The fact I could drag audio and video files and get proper embeds, from day 1, is what surprised me the most.

Dictation included is a nice touch for those who are not set up for it.

And you provide WYSIWYG live preview. I hate seeing markdown markup and switching modes. :)

Compares favorably to the very first version of Docs, Notion, DropBox Paper, etc. Of course, we're many years later and it follows their examples.

CTRL-h is an efficient global cognitive hook to the current item's contextual marks.

Capability I'm looking for is global instant summoning of a wanted item.

@LucCogZest @hookmarkapp I think my solution will be Raycast with one global keyboard shortcut per category of quick note to open in its app; any app compatible with Hookmark. :-)

Hookmark's Bookmark Window's pinned items list could do the job if it was 1 global keypress away and very keyboard friendly.

@hookmarkapp @LucCogZest What if I want to have 3 "active" quick notes to which I often spuriously come back, with no cognitive tax, instant editing?

I'm pretty sure Apple Notes doesn't support this.

I feel more internal push for this need recently.
I know Hookmark could be part of the solution.
