Every prepaid meter in Nigeria has the same flaw: when your units run out, everything dies at once. The fridge with your food, the fan, the single bulb in the corridor all of it, instantly. No warning, no priority, no intelligence.
> For my final year project at @futminnamx , I decided to fix that.
> I built an IoT-based smart energy budgeting system with priority load shedding. Here's how it works:
> You set an energy budget, and the system tracks your usage against it in real time. As the budget depletes, it sheds loads in order of priority, luxury loads like the AC go off at 70%, optional loads at 85%, essentials at 95%. Your critical circuit never switches off. Your fridge stays on until the very last watt-hour.
> But monitoring alone wasn't enough. I wanted to solve the sharing problem too.
> Nigerians already share airtime and mobile data with friends and family. Why can't we do the same with electricity credit? So I represented prepaid energy as an ERC-20 token on @0xPolygon one token per watt-hour. When you buy units through @OPay_NG, a payment oracle detects the transaction and mints the matching tokens to your wallet. From there, you can transfer credit to a neighbour who has run out, directly from a mobile app.
> And because most people will never manage a crypto wallet, the whole thing runs on EIP-4337 account abstraction. You log in with your email address. No seed phrases, no private keys, no barriers.
> This matters because millions of Nigerian households live with 4-8 hours of grid supply per day, and the meters we depend on are passive countdown devices. They can't protect what matters, can't warn you, and can't let you help a neighbour. This system does all three.
> The prototype covers hardware assembly, firmware, smart contracts deployed on Polygon testnet, and a mobile app evaluated on measurement accuracy, load shedding response time, and transaction success rate.

My goal is to ensure that the voices of our people are clearly and accurately presented at the National Assembly and that their concerns are translated into meaningful action and impactful policies for the benefit of all.

The Final Sermon, by The Messenger of Allah, Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW)
Delivered on the 9th of Dhul Hijjah, 10 AH (March 632 CE), at the plain of Arafat:
“O People, lend me an attentive ear, for I know not whether after this year I shall ever be among you again. Therefore, listen carefully to what I am saying and take these words to those who could not be present here today.
O People, just as you regard this month, this day, this city as sacred, so regard the life and property of every Muslim as a sacred trust. Return the goods entrusted to you to their rightful owners. Hurt no one so that no one may hurt you. Remember that you will indeed meet your Lord, and that He will indeed reckon your deeds.
Allah has forbidden you to take interest (usury); therefore, all interest obligations shall henceforth be waived. Your capital, however, is yours to keep. You will neither inflict nor suffer any inequity. Allah has judged that there shall be no interest, and all interest due to Abbas ibn Abdul Muttalib shall henceforth be waived.
Beware of Satan, for the safety of your religion. He has lost all hope of leading you astray in great matters, so beware of following him in small matters.
O People, it is true that you have certain rights with regard to your women, but they also have rights over you. Remember that you have taken them as your wives only under Allah’s trust and with His permission. If they abide by your right, then to them belongs the right to be fed and clothed in kindness. Treat your women well and be kind to them, for they are your partners and committed helpers.
O People, listen to me in earnest: worship Allah, say your five daily prayers, fast during the month of Ramadan, and give your wealth in zakat. Perform Hajj if you can afford it.
All mankind is from Adam and Eve. An Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab, nor does a non-Arab have any superiority over an Arab; a white has no superiority over a black, nor does a black have any superiority over a white — except by piety and good action.
Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim, and that Muslims constitute one brotherhood. Nothing shall be legitimate to a Muslim which belongs to a fellow Muslim unless it was given freely and willingly. Do not therefore do injustice to yourselves.
Remember, one day you will appear before Allah and answer for your deeds. So beware: do not stray from the path of righteousness after I am gone.
O People, no prophet or apostle will come after me, and no new faith will be born. Reason well, therefore, O People, and understand my words which I convey to you. I leave behind me two things: the Qur’an and my example, the Sunnah; if you follow these, you will never go astray.
All those who listen to me shall pass on my words to others, and those to others again; and may the last ones understand my words better than those who listen to me directly. Be my witness, O Allah, that I have conveyed Your message to Your people.”
Jumaat to you All,
Adamu Garba II

Pearls of the Blessed Ramadan (16)!
The sixteenth day of the tafseer of this month of Ramadan (1447H/2026G) took place at Annoor Masjeed, Wuse 2, Abuja, and covered Suratun-Nisaa, Chapter 4, part of Verse 11 of the Noble Qur'an.
Allah says in part of the verse:
"Allah commands you as regards your children's (inheritance); to the male, a portion equal to that of two females; if (there are) only daughters, two or more, their share is two-thirds of the inheritance; if only one, her share is half. For parents, a sixth share of inheritance to each if the deceased left children..."
Some of the major lessons are:
1) Inheritance is a divine message and an essential instruction to be shared as directed by Allah.
2) Inheritance has 3 pillars: the deceased (Al-Muwarrith), the heir (Al-Warith), and the inherited estate.
3) Conditions of inheritance are three: certainty of the death of the legator, certainty of the life of the heir, and knowledge of the reason for inheritance.
4) Causes of inheritance are three: marriage, blood relationship, and emancipation (Walaa).
5) The preventers of inheritance are three: homicide (murder), slavery, and difference of faith.
6) The inheritance is also divided into two: Fard (Sharers) these are individuals entitled to a fixed share, and Asaba (Residuaries) these are individuals who receive the remainder of the estate after the Fard holders have received their fixed shares.
7) The Fard shares are six as stated by the Qur'an: 1/2, 1/3, 1/4, 1/6, 1/8, and 2/3.
May Allah continue to make our lives beneficiaries to humanity.

TAHAJJUD is no joke. Wallahi it’s a miracle. Asked Allah for something that felt impossible three nights ago… and He made it happen. Ya Allah your mercy leaves me speechless 😭😭😭😭😭
Aliko Dangote initially faced several business failures. His telecommunication company and textile business both failed, and Dangote Airlines collapsed a few months after launch. A tomato sauce factory he started also closed within months.
He then launched Dangote Millers but struggled to maintain it, eventually selling it to a South African company for $200 million, only to buy it back later at half the price.
Dangote’s breakthrough came with Dangote Cement, followed by successful ventures in sugar and oil refining. His journey shows that failure is part of the learning process on the path to success.
Due to the curfew in Abuja from 6am to 6pm, today's tafseer by Malam will be delayed until after 6pm.
May Allah continue to give us more knowledge that is beneficial to humanity.
Sahoor, the pre-dawn meal taken before the Fajr prayer, holds great spiritual and physical significance for Muslims observing the fast during Ramadan. The Prophet (SAW) emphasized its importance, saying that there is barakah (blessing) in sahoor. So even taking a small portion of food or a sip of water fulfills this Sunnah and earns reward.
