Volvo posted a 3 min and 46 second ad on Instagram, shot by Hoyte Van Hoytema, the cinematographer of Interstellar and Oppenheimer.
It goes against every single rule you can think about as a social lead. Length. Format. Over-produced.
Every comment under the ad said it immediately put Volvo in their consideration set. It's fucking fantastic.
@davetrott It was done in-house Dave. Which might explain a lot. I suspect the right kind of agencies would have done a significantly better job with the brand identity and the brand film.

@eon_next just increased my DD by £85 but can’t explain why and can’t change DD. To add insult, they attempted to refund difference from my own credit - paying me back with my own money not theirs. Crazy.
@TheWolvesShirt You are sort of insinuating that he took money off Qatar. He didn’t. He’s paid by the BBC who have a broadcasting agreement with FIFA. He made his feelings clear about Qatar’s Human Rights record. There’s no hypocrisy in that.
