The #Oxford Temporary Congestion Charge for Cars is off to a good start: Sreets that were jammed are now free. Buses can move as they should, and more people are using them. Essential services can get around.
Great to go forward, not back to jams!

Police have issued an urgent appeal to locate Nazim Kacem, 29, who they believe has information about Monday’s collision between a motorbike and bicycle in Summertown. The motorbike rider left the scene while the 17-year old cyclist suffered life-threatening injuries.
What fresh hell is this? What "cycle way"? It's just faded paint. Let's create a load of conflict just before many are actually trying to turn left into Little Clarendon Street. This is a new low even for @OxfordshireCC. Someone please sort it out before there's a crash.
@nationalrailenq@GWRHelp Ok thanks, I asked for trains in the next 4 hours and it still didn't show. If it's running there is a bug in your programme. Thanks for confirming. Any guarantee it won't still get cancelled?
@GWRHelp is the 9:14 from Didcot Parkway to Bristol Parkway definitely running this morning? We're meant to be on the 8:45 which is cancelled. We're traveling with a young child and luggage so this is a nightmare.
The @GWRHelp page is showing as running for the 9:14 but the @nationalrailenq live train tracker shows no trains on that route this morning. How can I trust the information when it's showing 2 different things? @nationalrailenq can you help please?
and it was just a really unpleasant and stressful experience. The environmental impact of all those flights must be huge. Please think about your next trip and train it if you can, we can't keep flying everywhere 💚🌍 3/3
Last week I had to fly to Belfast on business. Hadn't flown for 8 years - started off due to having a baby, then COVID, then we just decided it was bad for the planet that we'd never fly short-haul again. It was a horrible experience and I compared it to going to Pairs on the 1/3
@Eurostar which was just so easy, relaxing, climate friendly and fun 😊 we've now got 2 family European trips by train booked and I can't wait 🇩🇪🇪🇦 We have got to stop people flying everywhere - Heathrow was heaving, noisy, I got complained at for the way I packed at security 2/3
Very sorry to hear that @itvcycling won’t have the Tour de France next year. Gary Imlach, @nedboulting, @friebos, @millarmind, @mrendell and @Petekennaugh have been the class of the field and the best of companions. It’s a great loss.
Really saddened that ITV will not be able to show Le Tour after next year. Its history on ITV goes back almost 60 years when it started on London Weekend TV with David Saunders. Big thoughts to @millarmind and @nedboulting
The Dutch invest €595 million annually on urban biking, resulting in €19 BILLION saved in public health care costs alone. That’s how smart govts do the math on investing in better mobility.
Let’s be clear — it wastes public money to NOT do it.

Great news: Utrecht is protecting people’s health from air pollution.
Utrecht tackles air quality: wood stoves and fireplaces completely banned from 2030 🔥 https://t.co/WH9cqe7myS
