People like Noam have got my 72-year-old mom calling and asking about AI destroying the entire world. These “academic arguments” are being amplified by the media and having real impacts on the peace of ordinary people.

There is no excuse for continuing to espouse the most ludicrous and unlikely doomsday scenarios while the whole world is listening. It’s irresponsible and immoral.
