Let's do it!
My takeaway, after spending ~3 hours attempting to utilize ChatGPT to solve Google coding challenges:
1. For common problems: great.
2. For more involved ones: you need to break it down, and experiment with prompts. More miss than hit.
3. For complex/involved/rare ones: nah.
ChatGPT is not a free university.
It’s an amazing tool that can increase your productivity, but “teaching” is not its strength.
If you want to learn coding, copywriting, finances, or any other topic, there are great educators out there.
ChatGPT is not one of them.
1/ How do we design a 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 like WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger or Discord?
The diagram below shows a design for a simplified 1 to 1 chat application.
My learnings are:
- No-Code is great for proofs of concept, and for short term goals. Perfect for ephemeral initiatives and for anything in which the future state is not relevant.
- No-Code is terrible for persistent solutions that need to be scalable with load and team growth.
As a CTO, I use No-Code tools.
I can't avoid bumping into frustrations every time.
These tools are great for short term goals. But they easily become tech debt, if they survive longer than an MVP.

ChatGPT is incredibly limited, but good enough at some things to create a misleading impression of greatness.
it's a mistake to be relying on it for anything important right now. it’s a preview of progress; we have lots of work to do on robustness and truthfulness.
