@arash_tehran @linkhoeva Although Sergey was quite consistent on arguing against the centrality of ideology in his previous work, I believe that FT review oversimplifies his position. However, I am quite sure that once I finish the book, I will have to write a review on how Sergey underestimated ideology

@arash_tehran The problem is that this solution requires trust. If the Israelis could be convinced that they can trust that the Palestinian state wouldn’t turn into a ground for new attacks, it would be so easy to overcome the messianic idiots here.

Or does the Islamic ideology remain fully merged with Iranian national interests as communism was merged with Soviet state interests in the late USSR?

But have some respect for those who have to deal with OMON in Russia while you discuss how ordinary what they experience is.

Lenin and Stalin were ABSOLUTELY against nationalism. Self-determination of nationalities isn’t the same thing as nationalism.
Communists who hailed ‘workers of the world unite’ were enemies to Nazism.
