Dear Senators @tedcruz and @JohnCornyn,
DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT pass the Sunshine Protection Act. We do not need or want permanent Daylight Saving Time.
We live in Texas. We get plenty of sunshine.
As a matter of fact, many Texans would like permanent Standard Time. There's no need for daylight past bedtime. I'd rather be able to see the car in front of me during my morning commute.
Permanent DST means children will be walking to school in the dark most of the school year.
Don't give in to Big Golf and Big Candy.
Lock the clocks to Standard Time and leave them alone.
Please and thank you.
Sincerely,
Me

RUSH
I just saw this on an Instagram account from somebody who took pictures of shirts at the Rush pop-up store in New York city.
This is the greatest shirt... EVER!😁🤣
"We're in Anika's band"
Let’s avoid the same big mistake and lock in standard time. Much healthier, safer and aligns with the sun and circadian rhythm. It does take a lot of brain to see what’s best.
“Dr. Karin Johnson talks with CBS News New York's Chris Wragge about the drawbacks of making daylight saving time permanent.” (3 minutes) https://t.co/1gN7riGFI9
“Permanent daylight saving began in 1974… Americans began their mornings in complete darkness… Traffic accidents exacerbated safety concerns… The new law’s popularity plummeted… Politicians reversed the change in 1974…” https://t.co/75lVmkXgD0
@News12NJ These are obviously stupid laws that our politicians pass to make it look like they're actually doing something. Come re-election time, they can point to this and say "Hey. We made the world a better place!" Please re-elect me.
