I had the opportunity to talk with high school students at career day at Wellington-Napoleon High School. It was a great time chatting about how much school is required to be a cardiologist!
Had a little break in our day in the cath lab at Saint Luke’s East so we went to grab a coffee and a team photo! Very lucky to get to work with such a great group! @MidAmericaHeart@saintlukeskc
A lot to be proud of this year @BrendanSafley ... PB indoor to win conference, became a 16’ vaulter outdoor, scrapped hard on a tough day yesterday to score big points for the team. Consistency is there, huge bars coming.
@djc795@JACCJournals@jspertus@MidAmericaHeart A labor of love, but a great chance to collaborate with some really smart folks! Thanks to all for bringing this across the finish line!
@PKCath I have had good luck with plasmapheresis. Will never get those TGs low enough without. My patient had recurrent ACS and PCI leading eventually to CABG, but since starting lipid apheresis not a thing!

File this under “stuff that got cancelled for corona virus”. This is the beginning of my son’s aria from the opera by Mozart -“The Marriage of Figaro” at DePaul University in Chicago. If you like opera, Italian music and college kids having fun please enjoy!
Just another night of pole vault practice for my son... Luckily he is fine. He brought the broken pole home and it has a warning sticker on it noting that pole vaulting may result in severe injury, paralysis and death! Now you tell us!
Nice spot on the Kansas City evening news about @MidAmericaHeart Cardiologist @BrettSperryMD diagnosing and treating Amyloid heart disease. Nice work! https://t.co/fHimPVp17S
