@bleacherbum099@DOM_Frederic I’m convinced cubs fans just need their manager screaming and yelling, and then he’s a “difference maker”. So silly. He managed the worst staff in baseball to 89 wins. And most of that plugging in an awful bullpen. He also helped PCA navigate the chaos of white Sox fan incident
@blakecowellx When I see cubs fans finally catching on as to who is the problem in the organization 😂😂😂. Jed has been and will continue to be the problem until proven otherwise.
@AjBrault Their top 3 starters were hurt, and Jed (again) whiffed on the bullpen signings. I think the pitching evaluation has to change, if that means getting rid of Hottovy then do it. Can’t surrender that many homers all year
@TheConnorPils Well said. Injuries ultimately undid them. And pitching evaluations need to change. Whoever is in charge now needs to not be doing that anymore. Lol.
@TheConnorPils I know man, I’ve been on this train of thought since they brought Craig in. Very rarely do you see Craig make a bad decision and leave his guy for failure. They pinch hit sheets. You can’t guarantee that.
@Matthewm_27 Yeah we’re just not gonna agree and that’s okay. He played a favorable matchup and he sured up defense where Pedro did not look very good at the end there.
@Matthewm_27 So again, playing the matchups and trying to make the hitters have the disadvantage. When players are put in a favorable matchup. They have to succeed. No manager will look good if the players always underperform.
@Matthewm_27 Yeah I’m not buying that. You give your guys the best matchup and make the pitcher most uncomfortable. Also, you still need defense in what would presumably be a low scoring game. The lefties that were due up against Palencia other than sheets…..reverse splits.
@SetupManKyle See that’s different, not what you said at first. He has had stretches like this all year. Just the worst possible time. It sucks but I’m not buying a narrative that he’s too immature right now.
@Matthewm_27 Pivetta: lefties hitting .173. Righites hitting .250. It’s not close. Shaw was the right move, not really debatable there. Also, Palencia was brought in and couldn’t be subbed out. And again I will point to, why is Palencia the highest rated reliever in our pen…..look deeper.
@Matthewm_27 Matt Shaw was in for defense and Pivetta had reverse splits. If I had to guess. Peterson was being held for later in the game. It was the 4th inning.
