The hacker moved billions out of Binance hot wallets across 5 chains
Fresh wallet gas paid via Tornado Cash, and the funds got split up within minutes

The damage estimates range from 2.5B$ to 3.5B$ But Tether froze 1.5B$ USDT and Circle froze 800$M USDC
So a big chunk of the loot is stuck. Hacker can’t cash out

Binances official line investigating, no confirmed impact on user funds. CZ went harder (it does look like a hack) user funds are safe, and he expects everyone to be fully covered. BNB dumped 6-7% on the news.

Biggest exchange in the world. If this is real, it’s the largest crypto hack ever.

Binance just had the worst night in its history and nobody saw it coming.

~$2.77B pulled out of Binance wallets across 5 chains. one transfer alone: 780M USDC straight out of a hot wallet. on-chain sleuths caught it before Binance said a single word.

then the dominoes:
BNB dumps up to 9%
BTC slips under $80K
~$600M in longs liquidated in ONE hour
and the official response? “we’re aware of reports and investigating.” funds are SAFU, they say.
meanwhile Tether and Circle reportedly froze ~$1.8B before most people even opened the app. stablecoin issuers moved faster than the biggest exchange on earth.
CZ, who keeps reminding everyone he doesn’t run Binance anymore, reportedly says users should be made whole.

this could end up one of the biggest exchange incidents ever. and we still don’t know who did it or how.
