@sagan_fan01@smartysue@unojen_wood Happens all the time. Some people, when selected, are told that they will be spending most of time campaigning in other places. Both at local and national levels. It's about the parry winning power so they can govern, why waste time in places where there is no chance of winning?
@smartysue@unojen_wood It was nothing like that. At elections, why spend time fighting seats you have no chance of winning. The strategy worked as we have a large majority! You cannot win every seat.
@PhilHumber1@jamesinsurrey Well it's not stupid. Any sensible council would usually block pubs from having beer gardens open at 3am in the morning! This is an exceptional situation and so needs legislation. Simple.
@plav1951@dunstablian And I assume then, to be fair, that a Christian shouldn't be on the jury if a Christian is being tried. Or a woman on the Jury if a woman is being tried etc...
@Criorian@britspatriots@KemiBadenoch@Conservatives I wonder why... Because Reform are not 'for the working people' unless those working people are multi millionaires who want less regulation and greater freedoms to make more money.
@britspatriots@KemiBadenoch@Conservatives And who is the union? Ahh yes, people who work. Reform would take workers rights back decades. Rights that have been won by unions. How is that 'for the working person'
@CPhilpOfficial Is this the knife crime that is falling under this government? 10% down I think in the last year and 20% down since they took over? One teenager stabbed to death is one too many. But crime is falling - It is not a lawless place.
When a team is expunged for cheating in a knock-out competition, ineligible player or otherwise, it's standard practice for their opponents to be reinstated. From FA Cup to County to Sunday, so why should it be any different for Boro? Appreciate Hull have been messed around but...
@saintsfcreport It shouldn't matter what the prize is from the game. If it was an FA cup 3rd round match, Southampton would have been kicked out and the losing team go to the 4th round. This should be the same - just because it's a playoff game shouldn't matter.
@commonsense1191@RachCatR@PolitlcsUK https://t.co/lfrlLx58Im shows that they are. And this https://t.co/wmfM03jw91 shows that they've only broken a few pledges.
@SteveK157DFC@CAFCofficial 100% Just looked at prices for the finals and not paying that... I'd go if they were half the price - £50 for 2 games etc would be fair. But £90?
@LocalHistorian_ Jesus was a champion of the marginalized, migrants, refugees, the poor & the sick - literally everyone you & Reform despise.
You're not a Christian when your every waking moment is spent denying and offending Christian teaching.
Your dog whistle must be wearing out by now.
@BulletBlueSky2@ArchRose90@Iromg Trussel trust data shows the amount of food parcels needed decreased by around 10% during 2025. https://t.co/d7aPdhypyl
It's still way to high.
@michaelwhite It's funny how the mail and Reform voters want to punish every crime except when committed by drivers... Parking fines / speeding fines always seem to annoy them. Yet other crimes aren't punished enough.
@lewis_goodall@campbellclaret@MarinaPurkiss This isn’t tough policy. It’s a clear abuse of public power - essentially collective punishment🧵
1/. Can a government site detention centres based on how an area votes?
Short answer: No. Unlawful. Third Reichian and third rate.
Zia Yusuf says Reform will detain "tens of thousands at a time" of migrants.
Receipts:
• Britain's biggest prison, HMP Oakwood: capacity 2,106
• Entire HM Prison Service: 88,000 places, 99% full
• Cost per detainee per year: -£46,000
• Reform's costed plan for any of this: zero pages
They can't run a Wetherspoons, let alone a gulag.
