A ‘man of God’ in Nigeria is charging men money to link them up with women on his website.
Pastor is asking someone to pay 700k naira for link up with women and ‘access to pastor’. How is this different from what pimps do?
Pastor dey run hookup platform.
Atije Atimu yi sha 😭😭
Seems like women understand that the behaviour they display with men they supposedly like, makes them terrible friends, but can’t seem to wrap their heads around how it makes them terrible girlfriends. As if for for some reaoson being a useless liability is supposed to be ok in romantic relationships.👍🏾😭
People keep asking why Trump suddenly got so hostile toward Canada this year.
It’s not just the usual trade talk. Look at the Gordie Howe Bridge.
Canada spent billions building a brand new public bridge between Detroit and Windsor. It was basically ready to open. The problem? It sits right next to the Ambassador Bridge, which is privately owned by the Moroun family and has been a monopoly cash machine for decades.
Matthew Moroun (the guy who runs it) writes a $1 million check to a Trump super PAC in January. A few weeks later he gets a meeting with Commerce Secretary Lutnick. Hours after that meeting, Trump posts that he’s blocking the new bridge from opening until Canada “compensates” the U.S. and gives us half ownership.
That’s the moment the temperature with Canada went from tense to open trade war talk.
The Morouns spent 15 years and tens of millions trying to kill this bridge. They finally got the White House to do the heavy lifting for them. Suddenly “Canada is taking advantage of us” became the daily message.
Remember when they sold us the slogan, “Go paperless, save trees, save the planet”? Now we've gone digital, and it's consuming enormous amounts of water, destroying ecosystems, harming bees, and contributing to environmental damage on a scale paper never did.
The problem with capitalism is that if you aren't born into wealth, your only capital is your labor. So automatically, your human body, is now a commodity that you must sell, and if you can't sell it for enough, you won't be able to care for it and will lose your capital.
People do not do wrong to you. They do what they think is right for themselves. Their betrayal. Their selfishness. Their cruelty. It's not about you. It's about their own fear. Their insecurities. Their emptiness. See this, and you'll be free. You'll be happier.
Some girls are already so beautiful, have perfect aura that the only thing left is actually having the money 🥹🥹. I hope God makes it possible for you babes soon enough.
The invention of language symbolizes one of our deepest human desires: the desire to connect with one another through communication. Our social and communal lives depend, in large part, on this innate yearning to be understood and to understand others.
Yet virtual communication is gradually eroding something vital to this aspect of our existence.
What is particularly surprising is how casually we neglect physical meetings with friends and loved ones while convincing ourselves that virtual interactions can adequately replace the richness of face to face communication. They cannot.
Nonverbal communication is not simply something we think about and translate into words. It is something we physically experience. We read it through facial expressions, posture, gestures, tone, proximity, movement, and the subtle changes in another person’s physical presence.
There is a form of knowledge that emerges only when we are physically present with other people. You cannot fully acquire it by staring at a screen or converting your thoughts into text. It has to be felt and observed in real time.
Perhaps this is because nonverbal communication connects with a more primitive, embodied part of our nature. It engages mechanisms such as our mirror neuron systems, allowing us to instinctively perceive, interpret, and sometimes even internally simulate the emotional states and actions of others.
We may be becoming extraordinarily good at communicating information while becoming increasingly poor at communicating presence.
And that distinction matters.
