This is extremely important. Later this year the world will suffer two simultaneous disasters: the collateral damage of Trump and Netanyahu’s stupid war, and the biggest El Niño ever.
Apocalyptic bird nest.
A Russian glide bomb knocks down a tree in Donbas. From the shattered branches rolls out a tiny bird’s nest.

"Every field we have studied shows some signs of the pathologies sketched above: a deterioration in scholarly standards fueled by the substitution of political criteria for properly scholarly criteria in the assessment of research and a more general repudiation of long-standing ideals of rigor and objectivity"

This is so insanely corrupt, I can’t even believe it.
More than half the donors to Trump’s $400 million White House ballroom just won over $50 billion in new federal contracts in six months.
And here’s the part that should make your blood boil.
Sixteen of these 27 donors were facing federal enforcement actions, antitrust reviews, labor cases, securities charges. Many of those cases have been quietly dropped or scaled back since Trump took office. You write a check, your legal problems disappear. That’s not a coincidence.
The White House won’t even release the full donor list. They’re hiding it on purpose, because daylight is the one thing pay-to-play can’t survive. A federal judge already ruled ballroom construction has to stop until Congress authorizes it.
Government is supposed to serve the people, not auction itself off to the highest bidder. When access goes to whoever pays the most, working families always end up paying the price.
We either end the corruption, or the corruption will end us.

Mysterious ‘cold blob’ in the Atlantic suggests the AMOC is weakening
A patch of ocean south-east of Greenland is the only place on Earth that is cooling, and it could be a sign that the warm water “conveyor belt” in the Atlantic is slowing down

The Ukraine Support Act (H.R. 2913) HAS PASSED — 226 in favor, 195 against. 18 republicans supported the bill!
The bill received more than the simple majority required for passage in the House.
Remembering the excitement of the Tiananmen Square democracy movement and the brutality of the Chinese government's massacre and crackdown that ended this moment of hope 37 years ago.
1/ Fuel has completely run out in parts of Crimea: 'Military Informant' reports that Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev stated that fuel tankers were unable to arrive in the city, so fuel will not be available for sale today.
This is the latest Trump corruption to push back on.
He's gotten the attorney general to exempt him from the tax laws that govern everyone else—including other presidents.
Bill and I released 30+ years of tax returns and were audited a few times! https://t.co/6JiiVjIv3F
