@WingsScotland I think Trusty's shoulder gets under his elbow, and as Trusty jumps that forces his hand up to the ball. Not an "unnatural position" if the opposition player has moved you surely. Terrible decision
@LauraEWebsterr If concerned about low incomes and lack of affordability (and we should be), then give people income! Don't fuck with the price system that signals relative scarcity and abundance (for both producers and consumers). Econ 101
@LauraEWebsterr No, it's a recipe for empty shelves. A producer has the option to supply shops in Scotland and elsewhere. Prices capped below market value in Scotland, then clearly they won't supply here. Madness, and really puts me off voting SNP.
@AscendedYield Hard asks (she was never doing this)
1/ Concede that Scotland voted for devolution, and grant it.
2/ Return nationalised industries to municipalities where they came from, not privatisation (unless local gov. wanted that).
3/ Don't do right to buy. They're not national gov homes!
@PaulJSweeney I often agree with you, but this just seems partisan. And it's not "dumping" if it's manufactured in Scotland! Dumping is overly cheap exports. These would be scottish made (to a chinese design) ☹️
One of the biggest boosts to Scottish economic growth would be to get Glasgow's population density back up to European levels.
There is more than 3 million square feet of unused floorspace in Glasgow city centre alone

@worstall@garrethmcdaid Just talking about the end state, not the means of getting there. Some people seem to believe that a wealthy world will be one in which they effectively have servants. Economically illiterate
@Lewis334_@Johnmilton124@ScotRail Fair enough, Rutherglen wouldn't work without temporary platforms on the main line. But there are trains from the west that can't get to Central, and trains from the East that can't get to Central. Just run east to west missing out central.
@Johnmilton124@ScotRail Not just to paisley gilmore st. Look at the lines that exist: they could run to Rutherglen or Newton. We should create a temporary station at Shields depot for onward transport to the city centre via the subway from Shields rd
Forwarding a comment from Paul Stallan via Sarah. I find little to disagree with here, though i know many would say ‘how are we going to get there’?
Glasgow had so much going for it, i do believe we do well in many ways, the occasional stumble is understandable.
