The world around us is changing so rapidly, it can be overwhelming, to say the least. But make an effort to stay on top of information, technology, styles, and trends. Keep up rather than trying to catch up or worse . . . get left behind. -Donna Cardillo #change#stayrelevent
@NEjournalonline I love this idea! Receiving feedback from peers and experienced educators will improve confidence and engagement (O'Neil et al., 2020).
The Chat GPT Storm and What Faculty Can Do https://t.co/u9b3AwwdSr #DistEd534 Most interesting distance education tool I have heard.
Would you worry about students cheating. This is my first time even hearing about the technology.
@NLN Love this! So inspiring. I will be finished in December with my Master's. Transitioning in to the role as we speak, and it really feels like it fits me.
#MayoClinicMinute: If you encountered someone who is unresponsive and not breathing, would you know how to give #CPR? Nurse educator and CPR trainer, Jill Henderson demonstrates how easy it is to use hands-only CPR to #SaveALife. https://t.co/pNpNXdInk2
@MayoClinic This is great! You hear stories about no one knowing CPR and someone dying. As an educator, it is our responsibility to educate the public. It can literally save lives! #DistEd534
@AshleyatASU@MyDistEdN534 I found Survey Monkey can only go to 10 people max for free. If not they want like $900 a year for 3 memberships min. Kahoot was looking for money as well. Any apps to vote for 30 people for free? #DistEd534
@MarciaDesRosie3 Online education is 100% as valid as classroom. Our educators online follow the MSN Essentials and best practices for online education. Educators are held to NLN competencies for CNEs as well online (Billings & Halstead, 2020) #DistEd534.
@Antoinette7786@DistEdJournal#DistEd534 Zoom and online simulations replaced face to face education during COVID. Online education is as efficient, or more efficient than classroom (Baber, 2022). I prefer online education for the flexibility as well. My nephew struggled with engagement during COVID as well.
@Marievc1946 So true. I had no idea how to be an educator prior to starting my MSN in education. Our education prepares us to deliver education to students and provide optimal outcomes for students and the patient's they care for (Billings & Halstead, 2020). #DistEd534
@lori_kerley@NEjournalonline Great article! I have not even thought about that aspect of being a CNE. Providing quality feedback is imperative to optimal student course outcomes according to (Billings & Halstead, 2020). #DistEd534
@chucksengstock I 100% agree. I attained 2 degrees online. I appreciate the flexibility, my choice. Higher-order math has gaps in comprehension online: 18% of students scored very low, 36% low, and 46% moderate. Problem based learning is effective in online education (Wibawa, 2021) #DistEd534
@EMJGastro@EMJReviews#DistEd534 really enjoyed this as a GI nurse. I just joined Twitter today. I am so excited to be almost done with my Master's in nursing education. I am committed to staying educated with the most up to date information regarding my practice area. Cannot wait, CNE's here we come!
