@RightsRule250@GunnelsWarren This is the most retarded thing I've ever heard. Those rich people already pay for everything, and you want them to pay even more? You want 99.999% of people to do nothing with their hand out, hoping one guy does everything for them? What happens when he dies or moves? Party over
@bravos_1@DJeffMTG@Ricky_Khamis@SpencerHakimian Any SWE worth their salary was hirable before they got their degree, stemming from a life long interest in coding. If you are talking about someone only gaining interest at 20 years old because it's a high paying career, then yeah a CS degree helps the otherwise helpless.
@bravos_1@DJeffMTG@Ricky_Khamis@SpencerHakimian Is it? How many people are getting degrees in computer science just to work as a software engineer? or a communications degree to post on facebook? I am not knocking the value of education, but many graduates are landing jobs that don't require degrees.
@DJeffMTG@Ricky_Khamis@SpencerHakimian Just look at all of the unemployable grads who feel entitled to a job with zero work experience. Some education is valuable, but the majority of degrees are worthless which is a good indicator of financial intelligence for those who got them.
@sweatystartup It's all about funding. They don't have math classes available for my son because he's so far ahead, yet they get aggressive about him "falling behind" if he misses too much school. This is the second year he's had no math, they dont care about that, just the dollars per seat.
@ekmplsrw @sweatystartup Yes, I am sure missing 10 days of school will have any impact on their education. Kids are barely learning anything in school, you time with parents is probably 100x more dense in learning.
@JFLusi@sweatystartup 180 days generally, that's 5%. I don't see how it's too many, most kids are not learning much in school, they're stuck waiting for the most retarded kid to understand a topic before the rest of the class can move on.
@GGSIII@rossiadam comments here are basically "if you have $1M in retirement, why wouldn't you quit your job and buy a new lambo?"
This is why I am against taxation, I don't want to be funding these retards when they try to retire with no money and crippling debt and blame only making $150k/year.
