@mortgagejake Couldn’t agree more. The purpose of lockdowns was to prevent hospitals from being overwhelmed, with such high vaccination rates we should have accomplished that. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results
@fordnation can we please stop forcing pregnant women in labour to wear masks while they are pushing! This is insanity. Also allowing access to Nitrous Oxide would be Great since not all of us want to be forced to choose between an epidural and no pain management at all.
@CP24 This study was also only based off less than 7000 people..... ridiculously small sample size, hardly indicative that this is representative of the population’s efficacy
@StephenPunwasi I will never understand why people wait until the last minute to file their taxes 🤦🏼♀️ I do mine literally the second my last tax slip comes in...
@LoveBurlOn @Gills_71 @Ginella_M Great thought but not realistic for most people whose coworkers and employers now have the expectation of people being available 24/7. It’s not that people want to work these hours, they are not expected to
@chantellehoss @jayninemac But if there was a much more wfh friendly policy in place a couple years ago when I made my switch I would’ve so loved to have had a job that allowed me to also have a super fulfilling career and family life balance. Wfh is way more normal now but 2 years ago in my field it wasnt
@chantellehoss @jayninemac But when it came down to it, keeping my higher paying job meant I’d have to pay for costs of commuting into the city & full time child care & then barely see my kids. I’m financially better off earning less and having a really good work life balance.
@chantellehoss @jayninemac As a first time mom (in a few weeks) I definitely had to make some career sacrifices the last couple years knowing I wanted to start a family, be able to have a career but also spend all the time I could with my kids because I want to be there for it all. I sacrificed pay for it
@chantellehoss @jayninemac 🙌🏻 I think we need to have more companies adopt flexible policies for working moms/dads who are the primary caregiver - make it normal to have wfh a few days a week so you can have both a career and also raise your family and spend time with your kids
@jdumes98 @Marilyn65517252@StacyKozak @chantellehoss @JanisIrwin Not everyone will just get CPP... and those who have substantial retirement savings may have some OAS clawed back. Not every retiree is going to be relying on gov supports those who do have a pretty crappy retirement. Max CPP & OAS is roughly $1800/month... very few get 100% CPP
@jdumes98 @Marilyn65517252@StacyKozak @chantellehoss @JanisIrwin Clearly doesn’t understand how CPP works. You pay into CPP a % of your earnings, so does your employer. Those funds are invested. how many years you worked & what your earnings were determines what % of the max pension you’re eligible for. OAS is publicly funded but income tested
