We don't want balloon arches and cakes for our families in the #NICU.
We want them to be supported with the same equity and focus on #QI, research, #HealthLiteracy, education, psychosocial support, longitudinal support, etc.
It is unacceptable for nearly 1,000,000 babies annually, globally, to die from #HIE, millions more living with lifelong disabilities, and have no recognition of it by the @WHO, @UNICEF, @NHSuk, @acog, @AAPneonatal, @CDCgov, @NINDSnews, @aapglobalhealth, @NICHD_NIH, etc etc -- who "painted it purple" for #prematurity yesterday.
SAVE THE DATE: APRIL IS HIE AWARENESS MONTH
