Biochemist/Research Associate @TheAsheLab @MCF_UoM interested in post-transcriptional control of gene expression 🪰 & protein homeostasis during stress ♨️
The results are in! 🏆 Congrats to the winners of our 3rd Ribo-Omics Challenge!🎉Stefanie Kaiser, Declan Creamer, Lisa Müller & Elisa Nicolini — your projects will push translatomics forward! We can’t wait to see the impact!

@campbellclaret@RestIsPolitics Fantastisches Interview! Bitte können Sie die deutsche Version veröffentlichen? It will be really interesting to listen to!
@Asifcellbio Great piece! We just had a paper out where we found Tpk3 (a PKA subunit in yeast) forms foci during stress that relocalise to nuclear ring structures in the absence of Hsp42. Perhaps this works by a similar mechanism. https://t.co/LFIQuTfRHn
It’s that time of year! 🎅🏼 We are collecting donations again for the wonderful @EmmelinesNew throughout November. See our flyer below for details of required items and where to bring them 🎁

BREAKING NEWS
The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences has decided to award the 2024 #NobelPrize in Chemistry with one half to David Baker “for computational protein design” and the other half jointly to Demis Hassabis and John M. Jumper “for protein structure prediction.”
A bit of advertising for our review. Please take a look - we definitely spent a lot of time on this and dipped our toes well outside our comfort zone!

Very excited to share my first author paper out now in Cell Reports!
We demonstrate how heat-triggered protein condensation helps reshape PKA signalling during stress conditions. @CM_Grant@Markashe @SimonHu02406809 @astacus@MCF_UoM

Very pleased to announce the Ashe lab has been awarded a gold LEAF certification. The Laboratory Efficiency Assessment Network (LEAF) aims to reduce waste and improve lab sustainability. Great work by the lab LEAF team particularly Catherine Sutcliffe who championed the cause🍃🏅
@KinerMusic The start of ‘Wolves and a Door’ when they ride on the Loth Wolves has to be released! And all the music from the Season 3 finale two parter!
Hot off the presses...our coolest study ever...seriously! By comparing a thermophile, mesophile, and cryophile, we show conservation and ecological tuning of heat-triggered biomolecular condensation from the ecological to submolecular scales 🔥🔬❄️ (🧵) https://t.co/mTqzdT3eZd
