@UP87@grow_up_america@Pirat_Nation I assumed by "playable" he meant on the original hardware, without modification. But yes, anything other than original hardware will require some sort of emulation.
@lewdgordo@adojoe313@Pirat_Nation I don't think it is legal though. Since it bypasses the encryption to read the disc it still runs afoul of the DMCA (in the US at least)
@grow_up_america@Pirat_Nation For the Xbox and 360 at least it would only work for emulation (or modded consoles) due to the media type checks. I assume GC and Wii have similar checks.
@stationerycar@Polit_eurOpines@MorlockP How do you figure? The eradication of polio is the extinction of the poliovirus. Which is only possible because humans are the only carriers of polio (it was the same with smallpox)
If there are animal carriers eradicating a virus is exponentially more difficult, impossible even
@stationerycar@Polit_eurOpines@MorlockP A polio vaccine kills the virus, but does not remove the dead virus matter from your body. That, too, would be an unsolvable problem.
@WhoshtInMypants@CompletedStreet Concrete skid marks go beyond the edge of the picture, so it took a while to stop.
Good thing no one was on the bike lane in front of it.
@kentookal @CompletedStreet Provided he can drag himself out from under the car first.
Using barriers that render a car uncontrollable is not safe for anyone, in the car or on a bicycle.
@sebn3@CompletedStreet Are you?
Using a barrier that renders a car uncontrollable as it passes over them is not safe for anyone, whether in the car or on a bicycle.
@PussyDe36818229@CompletedStreet Do you really believe rendering a car unable to stop or steer as it enters a bike lane is a good thing for cyclists?
Others have suggested bollards, which would actually keep the car out of the lane. I would also suggest rumble strips just outside the bollards as a warning.
@voteLabonte@CompletedStreet This picture is a pretty damning indictment of those barriers. The car is fully in the bike lane, and in a completely uncontrollable condition, were it still moving at speed.
@George_Da_Gorge@cafreiman I would suggest people working jobs where labor supply is extremely high aren't the ones producing thousands, or even hundreds, of dollars of value per hour for their employer.
@TheMintMan_Mark@DelusionPosting Instead of saying "hey, maybe this poll showing a 14-point leftward shift in one of the most conservative states in only 2 weeks is an error" they said "if Iowa shifted that far left, every other red state must have shifted at least that far!" and then extrapolated the error.
