Attended the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony for the T-72 and T-90 Tank Overhaul Project at the Vehicle Factory, Jabalpur. This project marks an important step towards strengthening our defence preparedness and advancing the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat in defence production.
The plant at Jabalpur, being closer to Army field formations, will significantly reduce transportation time and logistical requirements for tank overhaul and maintenance, thereby enhancing operational efficiency and readiness.
The project will also strengthen the domestic defence manufacturing ecosystem by creating new opportunities for MSMEs in manufacturing, ancillary services and component supply. This will help develop a robust and resilient defence supply chain and generate new avenues for local industrial growth and employment.
I also interacted with MSMEs and industry partners from Madhya Pradesh, who expressed their commitment to contributing towards the goal of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
The project is also a reflection of the growing manufacturing and defence ecosystem in Madhya Pradesh. Initiatives such as the ‘Global Investors Summit 2025’ and ‘Invest MP 3.0’ reflect the vision of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav to develop Madhya Pradesh as a Defence and Aerospace Manufacturing Hub.
This project reflects our commitment to building a strong, self-reliant and future-ready defence industrial base, with greater indigenous capabilities to meet the requirements of our Armed Forces.

🌱 Planting a Greener Future Together!

Ordnance Factory Ambarnath has been entrusted with a target of 8,000 tree plantations during FY 2026–27. In line with the inspiring nationwide campaign #EkPedMaaKeNaam, a tree plantation drive was organised today at the campus.

Shri B. V. Rao, Executive Director, along with senior officers and office bearers of various unions and associations, came together to contribute to this noble cause. On the occasion, saplings were also distributed among employees to encourage greater participation in the green initiative.

Through this collective effort, we reaffirmed our commitment to environmental conservation and creating a greener, cleaner and more sustainable campus for future generations. 🌿

Let us all nurture these saplings with the same love and care with which our mothers nurtured us, and watch them grow into a greener tomorrow. 💚
