@ZanyZephyrX@pelositracker she sold shares and bought leaps. means she is still mildly bullish. Leaps provide leverage and with less capital required. Guess she is not as bullish anymore on these stocks and wants to have cash on the sideline in case of a crash while still being long to catch the upside
In 1971, money changed from a natural system (gold) to a socialist system (fiat).
Crypto is tech to replace socialist money with a free-market system.
Market systems are inherently competitive and as tech evolves, new monies will continue to emerge to challenge existing ones.
I came to Germany in 2016 to start my PhD. Germany then was a hotbed of scientific and engineering activity. And now in a span of 9 years I have had the incredible opportunity to witness a first world country on the cusp of becoming a great superpower systematically decimate itself through a series of bad policies each aimed at neutering itself further.
There is a common thread between all of these self neutering policies: they were all pushed by a few wealthy urban millennials who wanted to feel morally superior and wanted a pat on the back for being a “good person”. It is crazy how the narcissism of a select few can destroy an entire country. On some level I feel bad for hardworking ambitious Germans especially those who put in the hard work to build the country watching it all being ruined by a bunch of virtue signaling entitled fucks.
@marclou how can you "lose everything" when you invest in the s&p? that would mean the US doesn't exist anymore. If that's the case I guess your house wouldn't be worth much too
What Andreas (@AndreasSteno) is showing here is a classic liquidity pulse, just not in the form most are trained to recognize. The blue line (Chinese bond issuance) leads global liquidity by about two months, and based on its sharp move higher, it suggests that China’s state directed credit engine is quietly turning back on. That doesn’t mean you’ll see rate cuts or RRR changes splashed across headlines, China is easing in its own way: via bond issuance and local government financing vehicles (LGFVs), with funding channels directed toward infrastructure, SOEs, and key sectors the Party wants stabilized before year end.
This is stealth liquidity. And when you map this kind of bond led credit expansion against global M2 or risk assets like Bitcoin (which the chart does), you see the knock on effects. Historically, a spike in Chinese bond issuance leads a rise in crypto, EM equities, and eventually global M2 growth as credit channels spill over via trade, commodity demand, and yuan swap lines. If this trend holds, it could add upside pressure to global dollar liquidity in Q3–Q4, especially if the Fed holds off on tightening further while China injects domestic credit. In that case, global risk assets could reprice dramatically, especially those sensitive to early cycle reflation.
To feel more at peace and more successful, you don’t need genius-level brain power, access to some secret society, or to hit a moving target of “just” an additional X dollars.
Those are all distractions.
Based on everything I’ve seen, a simple recipe can work: focus on what’s in front of you, design great days to create a great life, and try not to make the same mistake twice. That’s it.
If you really want extra credit, try not to be a dick, and you’ll be a Voltron-level superstar.
The secret to winning any game lies in not trying too hard.
Feeling as though you are trying too hard indicates that your priorities, technique, focus, or mindfulness is off. Take it as a cue to reset, not to double down.
And take comfort in the fact that, whenever in doubt, the answer is probably hidden in plain sight. What would this look like if it were easy?
In a world where nobody really knows anything, you have the incredible freedom to continually reinvent yourself and forge new paths, no matter how strange. Embrace your weird self.
There is no one right answer . . . only better questions.
is this the biggest LIE on the internet?
"AI won't take your job. someone who knows AI will."
the REAL TRUTH is messier. here's how i think it actually plays out:
MILLIONS of white collar jobs disappear once the productivity gains of AI present itself over the next few years. the layoffs happen in waves. coordinators, junior analysts, customer service reps - anyone whose job can be done with a good prompt, agent swarm, automation gets cut. this is mostly individual contributors who get hurt. managers are more likely to remain (because they are managing the output).
but the TOP 1% of employees who master AI have tons of leverage with their employer so they get paid 2x while creating 10x+ output. both employer and employee feel like its a really good deal. realistically, its a better deal for the employer.
THOUSANDS of smart people suddenly have severance checks, free time, and a chip on their shoulder. they start playing with cursor, claude, and bolt. they realize building a business now costs less than a decent laptop used to.
the NUMBER of founders is about to 10x+. many build tiny apps that solve one specific problem. most stay small but profitable and do not raise money. this is the mom and pop era of internet software. "small software" becomes a thing.
but not all want to create saas or apps - that's hard and for tech people in their mind. so, some buy BORING businesses from retiring boomers. that appeals to them. it goes hit or miss.
some become CREATORS. they go full-on influencer, do reviews, create internet communities, get into the newsletter game.
meanwhile, big companies get lean and mean, hiring only when humans add something bots can't. you saw that already from what Tobi from Shopify said. you need a real reason to hire human or else its AI.
new jobs do emerge - prompt engineers, AI workflow designers, chief agent officer... this new class creates thousands of jobs. ill admit to that.
what we end up with looks like a beehive: a few giant companies running efficiently, surrounded by thousands of tiny, profitable one-person businesses.
this transition could get really ugly. MILLIONS of people out of work, competing for fewer traditional jobs, while trying to figure out entrepreneurship for the first time.
lots of failed startups, burned savings, and genuine hardship. we honestly don't know how fast this happens or how society adapts.
but yes, AI will delete millions of jobs. yes, power users of AI will dominate. And yes, we're about to see the BIGGEST explosion of entrepreneurs in history.
And yes, the next decade is going to create more millionaires than the last 50 combined.
this is how i think it probably plays out.
We've weaponized distraction against ourselves.
We've turned silence into the enemy. Every goddamn moment has to be productive now. Can't just walk—need that podcast. Can't shit in peace—gotta scroll. Can't eat without Netflix numbing the edges.
It's mental fast food. Empty calories for your consciousness. We're stuffing our heads and our faces.
The void isn't the problem—it's the solution. That space between thoughts? That's the magic.
But we've been sold the lie that stillness equals laziness. That an unstimulated mind is a wasted mind. Bullshit.
Your brain needs downtime like your body needs sleep. Keep force-feeding it content and it'll revolt—hence the grogginess, the demotivation, the mental fog.
The most successful people I know? They understand that boredom breeds brilliance, that silence creates signal.
Stop being a content junkie.
