Nobody cares about or watches these female superhero movies. I think there’s been maybe one that didn’t flop this century. Female led action films in general are almost always a dud. There’s no audience for it. Nobody wants to see some 105 pound girlboss action hero. It’s a comedically absurd premise, and there’s no getting around that. The studios are of course aware of this market reality. Yet they keep churning these out anyway because they’ll willingly lose money for the sake of pandering to women who want these movies to exist in principle but don’t actually care to watch them. That’s how female-centric our society has become.

Today, June 17, marks the 3-year anniversary of the day Mama JF left our home voluntarily to go on a risky hiking trip and then, in all likelihood, died of completely natural causes in the process.

One of the last things that Mama JF told me when she left was that I should seek to find a new wife as hard as I could, as she would not come back, ever. Unfortunately, up to this day, I have been unable to fulfill this order of hers and I am still single. I do hope that there is a woman out there with the culinary acumen of Mama JF who will want to continue life with me.

Here are three cakes that Mama JF had prepared over the years. One of the things that people do not know about Mama JF is that she was an extremely skilled baker who had a passion for advanced cake techniques. The cakes of Mama JF will be included in White People Food, which will be available in September-October.

Here's to hoping I can find a new wife with as much culinary talent as Mama JF.

I think, in many parts of the Western world, the time of politicians flat-out ignoring men’s and boys’ issues is over.

And so begins a new era where politicians, particularly those on the left, bend over backwards, performing incredible mental gymnastics, to reconcile the emerging crisis of men and boys within their own narrow, dogmatic worldview.

I am talking about the strange phenomenon of policies that claim to “help men and boys”, but only as far as it actually helps women and girls, and not a single step further.

These are the academics, advocates and so-called “masculinity experts”, who spend all their time opining about “male violence”, and nothing else.

And so -

Any hope you have that politicians might take seriously the failure and abuse of boys in education, the chronic neglect of men’s health, or the betrayal of male victims, will have to wait.

Instead, the ambition of these new ‘Ministers for Men’ is to primarily help women and girls through “healthy masculinities”, “male accountability” and the deprogramming of “toxic” male mindsets.

So we are gifted with incredulous new job titles like ‘the Secretary for Men’s Behaviour Change’ in Australia.

These are positions that wouldn’t look out of place next to George Orwell’s “Minister of Truth”, or within other political dystopias, except this one… is real.

So what is to be said about this political halfway house that claims to address the problems of men and boys, but, when you look at the details, reveals something else - something that might be the exact opposite?

So I have a (mostly) useless degree in film theory and my personal concentration was National cinema. Meaning the study of how a racial/ethnic group represents themselves, their history, present and future through the artistic medium of film.

You will find that every single race of people on earth represent reality differently through film. The essence of that difference is found in the people themselves and what makes them, them.

The racial spirit of a people is illustrated through their use of film making and visual storytelling in such a manner that a Bollywood film and a Korean film are so different in the manner of their storytelling, character development, camera techniques etc they might as well be from different planets.

My favourite example of this is how Irish cinema is known for its dark, often crude, tragic comedy which mirrors the spirit of the Irish and their history perfectly. French cinema also intertwines deep philosophical ideas with ordinary everyday life and often uses rebellious and bold storytelling/camera techniques. Very in alignment with the French spirit.

These distinct artistic differences give visual representation to the distinct differences between the racial spirit of people. What’s even more important though is that the artistic medium of film is in effect a form of collective dreaming.

One steps into the theatre, sits back in a comfy seat, the lights dim, the screen illuminates and we experience the film itself in a similar fashion as we would a dream. The cinema provided the enthralling and thrilling experience of a new reality where anything could be possible. Where we could be reminded of who we are and we could imagine who we might be but for the first time as a shared experience.

And what are dreams if not the deep internal world which inspires the creation and building of the external material world.

Most people think of movies as just entertainment but in reality it is so much more than that. It is programming, guided dreaming and identity creating on the societal scale.

What a people dream and feel about themselves internally they become in a sense. This is why these race swapped roles in historical dramas are not merely superficial and are in effect evil.

It takes a historical figure, their contribution to the spirit of their race and thus a national identity and transgresses upon it by corrupting the image as belonging to anyone, everyone and therefore no one.

It is stolen valour. It is the highest form of cultural erasure in art, it is history rewriting in pursuit of identity destruction. Not surprisingly it is something we exclusively see in roles which rightfully belong to whites.

It is the explicit propaganda arm of white replacement. It aims to make us forget who we are, induce a form of collective amnesia about our history and ultimately erase from all future memory the truth of our ancestors heroics and bravery.

That said, most men go through lifetimes of horrendous shit that would have most women wanting to jump off a building if they experienced even a fraction of it. If they talk about it? It gets used against them. People look at them like they’re weird and treat them differently. No one really gives a shit or understands even a fraction of what they’re actually carrying

Men have nothing and nowhere to go, and no one who truly understands them either. When someone tried to create a men’s shelter for domestic abuse victims in Canada, it faced intense opposition and funding issues until the founder was forced to shut it down and then he killed himself

Look at how vicious people get defending creators that take advantage of guys like your friend. There are entire business models built on exploiting depressed and defeated men for money. They’re perfect prey—deliberately targeted in spaces where they shouldn’t be sexually or emotionally preyed upon. Their struggles get used to build deeply parasocial sexual relationships for long-term profit and fame. Anyone who supports or defends that doesn’t actually care about the mental health struggles these men are going through. It’s actively fostered by some creators because maintaining and growing that pain is good for business

One of the real problems also facing men isn’t that people don’t want to help—it’s that people pretend they do while understanding almost nothing about what men actually go through. A lot of the time it’s not even malicious; many will just never experience the cruel world men are forced to navigate. They’ll never really understand it

Men are only seen as good for providing and dying when needed

If anyone actually wants to make a difference, maybe we should start by listening without the rose-coloured glasses

She argues this is fatal for universities, whose only job is the ruthless pursuit of truth, not comfort. And she’s calling on parents and men to push back harder, even at home.

If we trade uncomfortable discovery for emotional protection, we’re quietly breaking the institution that’s supposed to advance knowledge for everyone.

I’ve been chewing on how stark these preference gaps are between men and women in institutions. This one made me rethink what “progress” actually looks like here.
