It's first worth pointing out a car-only transport system is perhaps the most ableist of all. A third of the population does not have the physical or financial means to drive: like children, the elderly, caregivers, people with lower incomes, and those with physical disabilities.

Lot of motorists making my point. Roads are for mobility. US DOTs set the car, the most expensive, inefficient and deadly option, as the base unit of transportation and a whole generation bought into it so completely they believe traveling without a car merits death threats.

We’re due to start work on phase one of Connecting Battlefield next month, connecting the South City Way at Victoria Road to Southside communities. Phase two at Battlefield Rest will be delivered in 2024/25 subject to funding bids.
