Once upon a time, an American president lost an election and refused to accept the result. He then did all he could to overthrow the election, including inciting an attack on the Capitol. This had never happened before, so naturally the Justice Department investigated him and charged him with committing crimes trying to overthrow the election. But alas, too many Americans were just too busy, or too bothered by how expensive eggs were to care about a president trying to overthrow an election. And too many Americans believed his lies about a “stolen” election, so he became president again, vowing revenge on all those who had the nerve to investigate him for trying to overthrow an election. And once elected, that’s exactly what he did. He took over the Justice Department and publicly forced them to go after his opponents. This too had never happened before, but, sadly, too many Americans were still too darn busy to care.
The end.
