@Rahul_J_Mathur One can argue that a similar story played out with Tesla in China. Not so much the outsourced manufacturing of Apple/Foxconn, but instead tech transfer for EVs.
@Ajay_Bagga@kushgrwl Also the future could be LLMs hosted on our local machine (Ollama already does this). Then why would we need all this data center infrastructure that’s being built out.
@AarizRizvi We still own one. Great ride and handling but the rear seat isn’t spacious enough compared other SUVs in its class. That’s my only gripe with it.
@rajeshsawhney This a good thing for the market. Old replaced by the new. These brands couldn’t keep up with competition and changing consumer preferences.
@GuruAnaerobic This is great. I use the Cooper 1.2km test to track my VO2 max. I guess I’m looking for the answer to - Is VO2 Max the holy grail of fitness. shouldn’t one also track strength? If yes, then what are the standards for it based on age cohorts?
@GuruAnaerobic How does one measure and track base level of fitness and then compare it with which cohort table? Is there a standardised table somewhere?
@jonasschmedtman Hi Jonas. When I deploy Forkify to Netlify, I get an error in the app "Uncaught ReferenceError: Fraction is not defined" This error does not appear when I run the app on the localhost. How can I resolve this?
As we gear up for the launch of the Centre for Gender Analysis (CGA), we’re delighted to give you a sneak peek into the kind of insightful research and analyses we'll be offering.
Our latest research brief, authored by @CeeForCookie and Swati Bothra, presents a comprehensive framework for understanding how different policy instruments can impact genders differently. It delves into why seemingly neutral policies, programs, regulations, or budget allocations can yield varied outcomes based on gender - a phenomenon known as gendered effects.
These effects often arise from factors like unequal societal relationships between genders, existing norms and biases, and the underrepresentation of certain genders. Recognizing and addressing these disparities is crucial, and our authors have meticulously developed a framework to identify and analyze these potential sources of gendered outcomes in state governance.
The brief not only highlights these issues but also suggests areas needing corrective or further strengthening actions, backed by thorough quantitative and qualitative analysis.
