@MattWalshBlog Well, the problem is that if we make a movie about any other war it will probably send a message that we should avoid foreign entanglements and focus on improving American industry and production. We can't have that!
@LargeInStature_ The "normalize everything" instinct is actually quite bizarre. I'm like quantum physics & glad that makes me unique! One is kinda pathetic if they're needy to the point of anger at the thought of any single person not vociferously approving something about them.
@ChristianHeiens I'm ok with the blue States seceding, but any counties in that state that would rather stay in the Union get to stay. We'll see how a handful of city States so without their vassals.
OK everyone, with Juneteenth being an official holiday I think it actually makes a convenient reason to do patriotic celebration all the way from then to July 4. Including the 4th it's 25 days. Do we call it "The Fortnight of Freedom" or "The Freedom 15" or something else?
@MiddleearthMixr The closest thing leftists have to morals & ethics are a vague sense of affirmation, be 'genuine', & shame is bad. Therefore, the argument might be, "Haha, you're so stupid you actually think shameful behavior is shameful & try to hide it instead of literally parading it around!"
@lauriewired I remember reading about synthetic blue diamonds that were theoretically able to tip be doped just right to be semiconductors & make into chips. The main advantage proposed was that a diamond CPU could run extremely hot.
@Konekoutena There's an old Soviet joke:
American: "In the US we are free to criticize the president."
Soviet: "Ah, in Russia we are also free to criticize the US president."
I guess communists never change.
@Manhattva I honestly think this is another huge failing of government; if the fools in Washington cared about citizens we could pass a law sung a country that committed fraud scamming US citizens would get a tariff & sic the FBI on them & this would start to evaporate.
@Manhattva@PinkneyAtLarge Democrats think being polite is the Biden red sermon or a CNN roundtable; calling anyone who opposes them evil & making barely veiled threats against them but with a calm tone, highbrow language, & without profanity.
@FLDadReborn It would be utterly depressing to watch.
"I'm going out for a walk just to enjoy the weather. I won't be taking any pictures."
"Well, I'm feeling a little lazy so I'm going to stay home & play this console game with no microtransactions that just released but is fully finished."
@plasmarob One interesting aspect to me is that Daily Wire's audience is likely to be establishment 'Romney-Republican' types. I suspect that Saints actually made up a not insignificant portion of their audience.
@NickFreiling Early in our marriage my wife was following her family tradition of "buy an of car & drive until or gives out completely". I convinced her we should buy a new one with some back of the envelope math that we were spending roughly the same as a car payment on repairs.
@BlackDumpling I think the main challenge is that Christianity believes in an all powerful God, so the limits imposed by game design (spell slots, damage rather than immediate incineration of monsters) feel a bit wing to ascribe to Him. Some argument for faith of the cleric being a limiter?
@87shenanigans -Likely close to or is paid off, & was purchased or refinanced at a lower than the current rate
-May have kids/grandkids visit sometimes, maybe even partial family reunions on holidays
-Selling a house takes work (& have to get rid of clutter)
-House has sentimental value
@darthcaro Possible, but in thinking unlikely because in pretty sure customer support stayed local for at least a year or two after I left, which wouldn't life up well with the timeline you describe.
