NEET cancelled by NTA. What an abhorrent conduct of an examination given by lakhs of children. Stop playing with hopes and dreams of students who sweat out day and night for these exams.
Conduct of sensitive competitive examinations is a joke in this country! Sheer Incompetence!
The judgement writing of the SCI and even the HCs is unnecessarily verbose. Can really avoid reproduction of every other related case law and statutory provision in the body of the judgement.
Saves time, for both the author and the reader.
@DeadlyLaw There are cases where facts don't justify bail. Criminal law is fact-specific. On the HC upholding bail, it was misled and certain facts were concealed. Try and train self in reasoning and not conflate two disconnected judgements? To become a legal commentator, bother reading law!
The Bar Council of India (BCI) has sent a notice flagging unauthorised collaborations or combinations between Indian law firms and foreign law firms, particularly mentioning CMS IndusLaw and Dentons Link Legal.
Reference is made to the recently amended BCI Rules governing the entry and operation of foreign lawyers and law firms in India. The BCI press release states,
"Any arrangement that creates a joint platform, uses a unified brand, involves co-branding of legal services, or results in shared client servicing without registration is in contravention of the Rules."

INR continues to fall because: there is less demand of INR in the international market (in context of USD/AED).
If you say this out loud, you will be bashed.
But, you need to know this fact:-
Every time INR depreciates by 4% (plus other inflation=6%).
But, your salary does NOT rise proportionally (by at least 10%), you are working your way towards poverty.
A better question to ask is: where will INR be in 5 years?
1 USD= 105 INR
Why? because we run a constant trade deficit. And, our GDP is not growing fast enough.
Some of our biggest firms are unable to export much.
They are Indian businesses selling to Indians; all protected by regulation.
Add to this freebie, statue building and excessive taxation, even foreign investments are drying up.
Why? because FIIs have no compulsion to invest. They have 10 other destinations to invest their money.

The outgoing CJI had an opportunity to judicially address constitutional impasse as well as subversion of constitutional processes. He let go of each of such opportunity. Here is a list of some of them:
1. Manipur. Nothing much happened and no strong words for or directions against the divisive and inept CM who presided over the mess.
2. The Delhi- Centre Impasse. He did pass a judgement. Also gave the centre a loophole and then sat on the challenge to the services amendment.
3. Hindenburg: Buried.
4. Pegasus: Buried.
5. Maharashtra: Operation Successful. Patient Dead.
6. Kashmir: The mantra of federalism and representative govt which he has himself cited many a time in his decisions conveniently jettisoned to validate actions of a Governor acting in place of an elected Assembly.
7. Electoral bonds. After the commendable order, cold feet on the logical sequitur-investigation into whether it was used as a tool of extortion.
8.Collegium delay. Not only he took the heat that Kaul J’s bench had on the govt, on the administrative side was most accommodating of right leaning candidates as the Victoria Gowri sage exposed.
Sir’s very concern for legacy before the legacy ends is a political desire. A judge doesn’t care for it, if at all the dispensation of his judicial acts have been done in a manner a legal interpreter shall not consider absurd, if not agreeable. Legacy in a nutshell, My Lord.
ur avg IITian/Tech/Startup bros will conflate and project the logic of their field into things like politics and history, believing correct opinions to exist in the forms of absolute binaries. I'm usually horrified by their policy suggestions-

This 600-year-old painting is one of the most mysterious in history.
That mirror at the back is just 3 inches wide — yet it reflects the entire room in immense detail.
Look closer at it and you'll realize nothing is as it seems… (thread) 🧵
