@ICICIBank_Care Its not working. Called up RM he also said others complained about it. The main page opens, after that the link to infinity portal to login to personal banking does not open.
@ICICIBank_Care Is your netbanking portal through browser down right now ? Been trying to login through your website but cannot get through the login page since the past 15-20 mins.
@Dhruvapandey Bharat highways InvIT seems to be more ambitious and agile - assuming their growth plan works out - one of the only interesting name I find in this space at current valuations. But owning its majority promoter's equity was probably the better trade.
If you travel from Mumbai to Pune post 8 or 10 pm from Mumbai on the #expressway, stop. Don't do it.
The Ghat section (once upon a long time ago), a scenic beauty is now a metallic gridlock.
Horning, frustration, discontent, resignation , exhaust fumes, drivers looking at side and middle windows instead of the road ahead to find that extra 2 inches of space describes the mood as people desperately look at the unyielding wall of vehicles to break.
And No, this is not a one day event. This happens every evening, approaching midnight and well past it.
The trucks and the heavy vehicles occupy the fast lane and their engines just cannot match to the incline of the winding road. Authorities understood this decades ago and they forced away the heavy vehicles to the middle and last lane and once upon a time this same expressway took a pride of place amongst the only one in the country where the heavy vehicles were always on the left.
But no longer.
The lack of enforcement of rules by the current lot tasked for it, has given them the confidence to enter the quick lane right from Panvel and when one truckie does it everyone else follows. There is no fear. How could there be? The people who were supposed to run the enforcement are gone by 08.00 pm.
Yes they are taking steps and making that new tunnel as most of you will tell me, but does not mean an existing expressway with it's travellers should be abandoned without the rule of law followed.
The problem is obvious to anyone who has used this road before but the lack of intent to solve this current issue is heart wrenching.
My appeal to you through this is not to look away. I too looked away for long despite knowing and traveling this route very very often, but cannot anymore. In a fast developing country we all are so proud of, we cannot have the most popular road, out of India's favorite city blocked every night. We still pay the same taxes for these roads and the same toll.
The toll is paid not to get stuck in a metallic gridlock.
If you have faced this problem before, or even if you have not, but intend to use this expressway some day in 2024, retweet and help me voice this so that it reaches some authority and we can expect a change.
Change is needed on the Mumbai Pune #expressway

Some states in USA even have non recourse, fixed rate mortgages for 30 years. The below post is the best primer on the beast that is the 20-30 year American fixed rate mortgage.
@Sanjay__Bakshi There is less talk about the actual business #s itself, competitive intensity of the past 10-15 years. Overemphasis on recovery versus good lending practices to airlines. Also, perhaps hint that real value creation has happened in airports rather than in airlines themselves.
@AdityaD_Shah When the telecom auctions happened in 2012, incumbent telecom cos and the industry changed forever. Similar thing has happened, it's competitors just don't know it yet. A policy change here, an acquisition there and pretty soon we r talking real revenue, profits and business.
@deepakshenoy @shrish1995 Institutional memory, go back to 1990's, ITC was integral part of Indian Industry and survived BAT takeover, so now Hotels is also integral part of ITC ;-) itne crorepati execs in Hotels ko crorepati kaun rakhega if it's divested.
@ActusDei@quite_new NPS A scheme mostly has the AT1 Bonds from PSU banks and hdfc/icici. Some PFMs hold InvITs and REITs which is pretty good because they r not taxed at all in NPS schemes if I recall right.
@abhymurarka Some of it started out as social impact VC. They took Samir Arora sir's message to heart aur jyada hi lambi phenk di. VCs also played a part in forcing some mergers on them I think.
Maybe some good comes out of its remnants over time and actually helps students.
@Shreya_Prak@Dr_Binocs Trust Rajshri Productions i.e. the House of Barjatyas ( of MPK, HAHK fame ) to provide wholesome family entertainment and now edutainment ๐
@kushkatakia Something to do with education sector in India I guess. So many listed cos in the last decade down in the dumps - Treehouse, Zee learn, educomp, MT educare. Byju's has many moving parts - some of it will survive and the rest will die or scale down significantly.
@marginvalue They have not walked the talk and continue to write pretty bad business. Wimbledon covid hit, China floods, US hurricanes - bad risks they had entered and maybe continue to under write. No incentive to under-write profitably. Maybe it's worth a puff and only that 1-2 puff.

Life expectancy in India is less than 75. It's also a tool to do tax saving and leave the money to ur next of kin without touching it ever. And if u do live long enough beyond 75, u can take the annuity at that point.
@SmartSyncServ They raised 7k cr in 2017-18 via a QIP + rights and another โน3650 cr in 2020 or so via a second rights issue. There was a beautiful moment in time when they did have 18-25% CAGR in 2013-16 during NBFC bull mkt.
@edencap Any thoughts on Godrej Ind's foray via Godrej hsg fin ? It's book is 70% premium hsg and 30% LAP right now but they are saying the right things (tho trouble is always long tailed in lending). One of the >50% discounted ones in ur holdco list.
