this stupid fucking app run by a pissed pants man toddler fucking made me remove sms 2fa only to ask me immediately if i wanted to add it back as a subscription to enrich his play-doh munching poopy diaper capitalist ass
I don't have a CISSP mostly because I'd be too embarrassed. To pass the test, you have to claim things that are false. For example, from this official study guide, the entire page is complete nonsense -- none of it's true.
Lapsus$ is no joke.
Okta, Microsoft, LG and others.
Seeing a number of orgs hit and ones that are pretty far along sec maturity wise.
They are taking advantage of gaps in detection, EDRs + more.
Cloud visibility and understanding baseline behavior is critical.
Red alert.
@cybersecmeg I was able to convince HR to let me do this! ...but not able to convince them to let me invest in them enough to offer advancement and raises, so we'd get people with great potential, train them, and they'd leave for somewhere paying better. Sigh...
@MrJeffMan@MalwareJake The latter. Is has its place, for sure! That said, when working with a company that has trouble getting through more standard patching, those resources are better spent getting the basics nailed down. My opinion, ymmv, etc etc.
When confronted with Texas's cruel, vicious trans bill - which allows the state to take children away from their parents if they allow their kids to get life-saving, gender-affirming medical treatments - it's easy to think that "the cruelty is the point." 1/
otherwise, the project you put years of your life into has a good chance of being known as "the project that kept That Guy around". you, with all the effort you put in, will slowly lose all will to live, but That Guy never gets tired of being That Guy. it's unfortunate
The London Internet Exchange (LINX), one of the largest peering points where networks around the globe exchange traffic, says it's going to stop routing for Russian ISPs Rostelecom and Megafone. Rostelecom is RU's top digital services provider.
@TalosSecurity Question for you all. Over in my day job I'm working on a project that could really benefit from using Talos vuln intel as a data source; is there anyone over on your side I could reach out to on that topic? No email address over on the site, I think. Thanks!
One of the best tools I have found when lecturing to non-IT people why cybersecurity is important is to teach them the basics of the kill chain, and then let them role play how they would hack into a company and steal. They are really uncomfortable at first, but then they get it.
it’s been a little insulting how this guy can post literal gibberish and get all this media attention while every actual expert on the internet says it’s gibberish and we get fanboys in our @‘s telling us *we* don’t know what we’re talking about https://t.co/GAmsgMSvLc
Trying to be more active in here again. The pandemic sure has slowed things down.
We hit black badge number 4 at Defcon over the summer. Very proud of pTFS and my wonderful teammates as always.
Hey @PearsonVUE , is it REALLY your official policy that as long as people are wearing masks you can pile people into the testing rooms as closely as you want, no need for distancing? If not, one of your centers needs to be reprimanded. If it is, YOU do.
@RobWittman@HouseGOP Also: this guy you all keep supporting pardoned multiple convicted war criminals and multiple witnesses in actions against him last night.
Not a word. Have you no shame? Are there no depths you won't allow him to sink to?
What a disgrace you are, Rob. Toe that party line...
