I think selling Transmission is a bad idea. Transmission infrastructure is a national security matter but more importantly, the cost of building and maintaining that infrastructure and the timeline for seeing reasonable returns on investment makes it not well suited for typical investor funds. That type of investment is done by governments who can take a much longer term and broader economic benefit view of the investment and can potentially source relatively cheaper funds for it than most private businesses. It would mean having a government that’s more interested in building long term infrastructure than they are with lining their pockets which is where Nigeria has been consistently unfortunate.
Since 8am yesterday,
3 different sets of nurses have come for duty and since gone home
But HO is still here, with the same scrub.
Still expected to work maximally today.
If you can't pay well, at least reform this shitty system.
Seeing the “glitches” with INEC IREV, concerned Nigerians built Citizen Monitors.
A real-time result surveillance platform that displays results from all polling units to collation center. Your own digital situation room. It auto aggregates and reflects nationwide. Election and governance depends on you.
We captured this beautiful moment of Chimdiebube Onwubiko arriving in Enugu yesterday to a hero's welcome.
He won a gold medal at the International STEM Olympiad Grand Finale in Rome.
I love seeing education reclaim its rightful place in our society.
This is just the beginning of something great.
"Explain why disciplinary action should not be taken against you for absenting yourself from Tuesday's evening games."
While people online are busy blaming a dead 25-year-old doctor for "not taking his health seriously" or claiming he didn't follow due process, this is the actual reality Dr. Wisdom Oghenetega faced at the Military Hospital in Port Harcourt.
A formal query. Signed by a Lieutenant.
Tega was actively deteriorating and fighting for his life, but the administration was more concerned about his "ability to function under constituted authority." This is the toxic, militarized chokehold Tega was trapped in.
The narrative that he ignored his own health is absolute gaslighting. Tega did not neglect himself; he was actively blocked, questioned, and pressured by a rigid administrative system while trying to manage his illness.
This was the query he received. See his official response attached below. 👇

The entire country has plenty of reasons to be proud, not just one section of it.
But at the end of the day. The three South East Olympiad winners hit specially because they were the only ones that went there from the personal funds of one man to represent the region.
Next year's winners of South East Math Olympiad, I hope you're ready.
July 1st. The first day of residency for so many. While I'm celebrating every new intern today, my heart aches a lot for the Nigerians and others affected by the travel ban whose visas were denied. After years of sacrifice and hard work, they deserved this day too.
Young King,
Start your day with prayer, then go out there and put in the work. When Tony said he became rich by luck, those are some of the things prayers do for us. It takes over where our capacity cannot reach.
Keep praying. Keep working.
Patient to me: Doctor you’re really nice and I like that
That other one we met last night was not calm at all
Ladies and gentlemen, I was the same doctor they met last night I just removed my face mask😭😭😭😭😭🤣🤣🤣
What a sight 🥹 this is where the USA will be taking on Australia tomorrow! Rated the most beautiful stadium in the country : Lumen Field ( Seattle Stadium )
I strongly believe there should be a direct pathway from HJ to residency, scrap NYSC for MDs. They should apply for residency & match into their programs immediately after HJ.
Sadly, we do not have the structure and infrastructure for that unless we want to deceive ourselves.
If you know someone who is ECFMG-certified and already a pediatrician in their home country or in the U.S., and who is interested in a Neonatology Fellowship in Georgia, please send me a message. @LatinxInPeds@imghelpinghand@PIMGlatino@ProjectImg
NYSC national should create a law that mandate the states to stop sending healthcare workers to private institutions.
I see no reason why a private secondary facility will have just one physiotherapist, rather than to employ they apply to NYSC to get a corper physiotherapist.
The corper physio will see both out patients and in patients and get paid 50k in a month.
This is not service, this is pure exploitation, these privates are maximizing profits from cheap labour.
Cause at the end of the day their charges for patients still remain high.
