This new architecture keeps audio flowing continuously, so deeper reasoning and tool use don't interrupt the conversation.

We're introducing two new transcription models in the API:

• GPT-Live-Transcribe: built for low-latency live transcription.
• GPT-Transcribe: optimized for asynchronous transcription of completed audio files and batch workloads.

Both models better understand context and deliver more accurate transcription on real world audio across accents and languages, including for short phrases, numbers, specialized terminology, and speech with loud background noise.

It's powered by GPT-Live, so it can speak, listen, and coordinate work in the app at the same time.

I would guess that <5% of users have really tried Voice Mode

Which is somewhat ironic as the first real mainstream consumer AI experiences (Alexa, Siri) were voice!

This is 1000x better and will blow peoples’ minds

Pro users get unlimited usage daily. Go and Plus users get 1h Live Medium/High, 1h Live, 2h Live mini. Free users get limited usage with Live mini, although exact limits may change over time. We will work hard to increase these limits.
