@tylerblack32@RobynUrback To do or be involved with MAID for someone who isn’t capable of consenting *in the moment*. Someone fighting the IV is a good example.
@tylerblack32@RobynUrback I mean I want this expansion too - like most people who work regularly with dementia patients, I want to sign up. “Take me out me if I’m the scared or violent kind or when I can’t recognize my family anymore” is a common take. But it is genuinely is a different sort of moral ask
@alandrummond2 And when you try to reduce the ALC numbers you end up creating hoops to make the patients ALC status. the same patient in the same bed but now it takes them an extra 2 weeks of meetings and paperwork for the charge nurses to get them declared ALC
@holder_det_vel@saffronandsky Your hospital Dr still has to re prescribe them with can be a barrier. Then I have to send them to pharmacy to be verified but that’s not such a hard or universal rule. It’s important that your Dr/pharmacist/nurse know what meds you have onboard for interactions and holding meds
@CatJamarchist@TheChaosWeeber What specifically are you thinking? We already kind of fucked up by not rolling out a unified provincial EMR when we had the chance
@TheChaosWeeber Freezing health spending for 5 years is insane dawg voters access healthcare they can see that we’re just barely keeping it together as is
@garvs_72@ciirarref Liver guy is fine and an easy patient. unless he gets sick, but if he gets sick there’s nothing you can do for him anyways other than burn through blood products
@CanEnergysupAB@camus_absurd@TheChaosWeeber Yeah but your post specified Vancouver lol. You barely need 1 car here and it doesn’t have to be anything fancy Financing 2 brand new cars for 2k/month is insane not “getting fuck all”
