No season of oppression lasts forever. History has shown that truth outlives lies, justice outlives injustice, and the will of a determined people cannot be silenced forever. To every Ugandan feeling discouraged today: keep hope alive, stay united, and never stop believing in a better tomorrow. Uganda belongs to all of us, and brighter days will come. 🇺🇬 #Uganda
@agribussiness1 Ugandans give such people power by following them on social media. A power hungry CDF has over 1 million followers and such a person also has a followers. The more you follow people who believe in such nonsense the more power you give them.
Uganda's military chief, who is also the president's son, said on Sunday he had ordered the closure of two leading media outlets, declaring that he did "not believe in a free press". https://t.co/ZHTPUi68qL
It makes no sense to ban NTV from covering Parliament.
Creating an environment where journalism thrives works in everyone’s favour.

Eventually, we got onto another ferry which set off. Mid-way the journey on the lake, its operators got instructions to reverse and return to Bukakata landing site where we came from. Apparently, the ferries will not move to Kalangala for as long as I’m on board.
All other travelers have been stuck since morning, including those on board and the many others who have been waiting outside. I’ve now decided to disembark to stop the impasse, so that the ferries can transport the stranded travelers.
Very sad state of affairs!
