Launch of Sampoornata Abhiyan 2.0 | Purnea District | Bihar

The District Administration, Purnea marked the grand launch of Sampoornata Abhiyan 2.0, in the august presence of Member of Parliament Shri Rajesh Ranjan and District Magistrate, Purnea.

Implemented under the Aspirational Districts Programme (ADP) and Aspirational Blocks Programme (ABP) of NITI Aayog, Government of India, Sampoornata Abhiyan 2.0 aims to achieve time-bound saturation of 11 Key Performance Indicators across priority sectors such as Health, Nutrition, Education and Agriculture, with departments undertaking weekly, focused activities to achieve the defined targets.

During the programme, Officers of the District collectively reaffirmed their commitment to achieving complete saturation of all indicators across the Aspirational District and Aspirational Blocks, with the shared vision of building a healthy, empowered and prosperous Purnea !

On the occasion of Republic Day 2025, Block officials from Raichur (Karnataka), Katihar (Bihar), and Chitrakoot (U.P.), who excelled under the Sampoornata Abhiyaan within the Aspirational Districts and Blocks Programmes, were invited to the ‘At Home Reception’ at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Shri Suman Bery, Vice Chairman, NITI Aayog, also interacted with the Block officials and discussed various initiatives undertaken by the blocks towards saturation of key socio-economic indicators. He appreciated the blocks for the exemplary progress made under the Abhiyaan.

NITI Aayog hosted a National Development Partners Meet under the Aspirational Districts and Blocks Programme, bringing together over 50 key partners for a day of insightful discussions. The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration between development partners and district administrations, aiming to create synergies that will accelerate progress in Aspirational Districts.

Through strategic dialogue and shared commitment, the meet sought to deepen partnerships that drive transformative change, ensuring these districts achieve their full potential and meet the programme objectives.

Accelerating Progress, Achieving Aspirations!

Bihar is pushing for remarkable growth across its districts under Sampoornata Abhiyan. With 61 blocks in 27 districts covered under the Aspirational Blocks Program, a review showed significant progress. Kursela block in Katihar achieved 100% saturation across 6 key performance indicators (KPIs), and Kudra block in Kaimur achieved saturation in 5. Districts like Nawada, Sitamarhi, and Purnia were directed to expedite projects and boost KPI achievements. There was a call for swift action, emphasising the importance of regular reviews and collaboration to achieve comprehensive development across all blocks. Bihar is on a focused mission to ensure growth and convergence across its Aspirational Blocks, pushing for 100% achievement in the coming months.
