I think it just happens that right now grip strength is one of the best proxy we have to estimating longevity. Assuming you’re getting grip strength from exercises like dead hang, dead lifts, carrying heavy objects etc. sitting on your couch with your finger blasters for hours is probably the wrong way to go about it.
@AFitTrader Yes please we need to see more of these boring but factual advice.
All these keto, animal based, fiber/plant/fruit is bad crazy people are just attention farming but most people don’t understand how marketing works.
@Fowler_Fitness1 you need to sound like a guru with special knowledge to attract attention.
people will pay thousands of dollars for special protocols and supplements before they fix their basic nutrition, sleep and exercise patterns.
@FitAndFortune yes that used to be me.
and a proof that marketing works.
while its factually better to get your vitamins from real vegetables/proteins, selling supplements is way more profitable.
I used to actually like vitaminwater power-c dragonfruit.
It tasted great!
And I thought it must be good for you with all these these vitamins - 200% vitamin C, zinc, B6, B12.
felt like I was doing my body a favor.
wrong!
one bottle has 27g added sugar - 54% of an entire day's limit
second ingredient is crystalline fructose.
there's a "dragonfruit" in the name but no actual dragonfruit juice in the bottle, just natural flavors and color.
the vitamins are real but thats how they make a bottle of sugar water feel like a healthy choice.
you don't need 200% vitamin C from a drink. you need it to not have a day's worth of sugar in it.
be careful out there.
Go-gurt is sold to parents as a healthy, fun snack for kids.
the label tells a different story.
one serving is 3 tubes which has 18g of added sugar.
that's a whopping 36% of an adult's entire daily limit, printed right on the package. for a kid, it's a bigger share.
after the milk, the next ingredient is just sugar.
the protein, calcium, and vitamins are nice, but shouldn't justify the amount of sugar and the damage they'll do.
it's a sugary snack wearing a yogurt costume. read the back before you assume the cute packaging is healthy.

Yes!
I tried to explain to people that after weighing food and counting nutrition a few months, you don't need to weigh food anymore because you get good at guesstimating the portions and the nutritional values without weighing them.
And if you think weighing food is too much work, you were never committed to losing weight or learning how to eat properly.
@gymmaxxfit A bit off topic but Korean food, especially home cooked, is probably one of the healthiest and tastiest cuisine.
Its just a lot of grilled/boiled protein and fermented/minimally processed veggies.
